Suggested Soraka Nerf

Hey guys and Riot,

What I will propose today is a balancing of this champion: Soraka Soraka

I was just thinking of a way to balance Soraka, and I think that I have a plausible solution. Instead of nerfing her heal (w or r), which are her cornerstone abilities, you could add a stacking resistance reduction (namely to the w, I dunno about the r). If you are healed my Soraka, you get hp, but you lose Example: 2/4/6/8/10 armor + X amount of MR per heal which stacks (infinitely for example), or I was thinking of a cap of 5 times or something, for something like 5 seconds. With this, Soraka lanes would not be able to fight relentlessly like the currently do.

The suggested change would make a lane where the incredible sustain would still be, but Soraka would have to be more careful with how many times she is healing and fighting, because although they are staying alive health-wise, they are increasingly putting themselves at risk for a turn-around from the enemy lane. What is key: THEY WOULD NOT WANT TO FIGHT IMMEDIATELY AFTER BEING HEALED, OR WHILE IN THE PROCESS OF HEALING, and I think that is key.

Thanks for reading my proposal,

TLDR: Stacking resistance reduction on Raka heals that last for ~5 seconds.

you would kill her! in a team fight where EVERY heal you do is game changeing healing someone once reducing their armor will make them die faster than if u didnt heal them at all

wut, how? She's giving 400 HP, it doesn't matter what your resistances are if you get 400 HP and were gonna die without it. In the change is good still because the person healed would want/need to leave the fight for 3 seconds to regain resistances before coming back.

I have to agree that it would be better off to just not heal your ally at all. Health is great and all but it isn't as effective as when you have both. I mean yea sure your healing your team mates but lets say they were only getting chunked for 80hp an Auto Attack but after you heal them they Start getting chunked for 110hp an AA. Your heal didn't do much for anyone and is in all honesty going to hurt your ally way more because you essentially increased the damage they take now. So for a champion that is supposed to be a supprt protecting your carries, you healing the carries is a curse and your carries will fear you. Your heal is essentially helping the enemy team by reducing your own allies resistances so they take more damage from abilities and AA.

The only way I could ever see Soraka heal being able to take away an allies resistances is if it were healing for some retarded amount of HP. Maybe 2000hp per heal would be a fair compensation?

Aka knock Soraka completely out of any viability. Mkay.

I've found that killing Soraka counters her healing very well.

I main Soraka, so all I can say, is that Raka is fine right now. She was nerfed already, and she is still a good champ to play. If you are struggling against Soraka, then play smart and focus on her instead of her ADC. Push too far in your bloodlust however, and Raka's ADC might kill you instead. The choice is yours.
