Sick of new Vayne Splash Art

I hardly enjoy playing Vayne anymore because of her new Splash art. The old was looked attractive, strong and intimidating. Now she looks like an athletic, genderless wimp. Her goggles look stupid atm. It is really frustrating looking at the new Vayne splash art everyday and wishing it could return to the old one... Vayne <<< Old

I miss Vayne's old splash. It was so badass, and unlike her new one it clearly broadcasted her character.

Her new splash makes her look like a super spy in a generic action pose and is really only messy.

Same as with the new Kayle art, so messy and uncommunicative.

I detest Kayle's new splash art with a passion.

A. PASSION.

KAYLE SAYS LIGHT PROTECT YOU, NOT LIQUID EGG THINGY PROTECT YOU.

Wait really? I fucking love that new splash, looks like its straight out of a religious painting, the molten gold shield is hella cool.

Now, Abe, I'm gonna clarify this.

I hate the splash as it depicts Kayle. The artwork itself is fucking amazing

But it's not Kayle. Her old one was perfect...but the new one missed the mark. Molten gold doesn't match her ingame LIGHT PROTECT YOU, and she's looking way to dark angel in this. her old one balanced her facelace justice nature with her covered in light - It was amazing.

But everyone has their tastes. But, as a Kayle fanatic/main, I find that this splash misses badly.

I'm voting old just because her face looks so long. And the subtle color changes of her wardrobe seem a bit off for her character.

Yeah, she went from a Blue + Red color scheme to a Pink + Blue color scheme. Why? Does pink scream "Night Hunter"? Seriously.

Her hair and clothes also seem to be going in two completely separate directions. And the image as a whole is way too bright for someone supposed to be the Night Hunter.

I love the current splash cause it's part of the current art style, and if you can't play someone based off the art... that's kinda sad

You can make the same point for most of the new base splashes really, just look what they did to Janna and Cass... they sure upped the speed in which they put them out, but boy did the quality go down the drain

The quality actually improved massively for both of those splashes. What you are missing is the innate sex appeal the old ones had. That's shallow.

It has nothing to do with sex appeal at all, it has something to do with Riot trying to needlessly shoehorn every champion into an action pose that not only looks incredibly awkward in 9/10 cases, but also does nothing to showcase the champions physique or personality.

Also, if you look at the Janna splash, she actually seems to be wearing less clothes in her new one - just that, in exchange, Riot felt the need to give her a messed up face.

Now don't get me wrong - the quality of the art itself has certainly improved on the new splashes (which is not exactly hard considering some of the old ones..) but you can clearly notice that Riot puts in significantly less effort in deciding what to run with before they start working on it - most of the new splashes should have never made it to anything more than discarded sketches.

So a blonde bimbo Janna (old art) is better than the new one that actually shows her as a graceful wind mage. How is her face messed up? Just because she doesn't have a classic slutty expression that most old female champions have, aimed at horny teenagers?

Please take a good long look at the two splashes again and think if this is really right. If this is still you genuine opinion afterwards, then I guess discussion can't really help you.

Discussion is pointless when it includes someone who judges art quality on the base of it's sexual appeal.

Every new splash arts nowadays are featuring champs who either jumps behind, or falls foward :p

The old Vayne is so cool, so "Night Hunter".

But it's pointless to talk about this. Riot has never reverted any splash. item 3070

Vindicator Vayne is still a better splash than either.

Link to new art plz? Assuming you mean its not the one on live ofc.

Also, when I look at the face of it, I think it's the heartseeker skin. The thing is so pink!

Old New

I think I prefer her new one.

It has a better color scheme of red+black, shows off her playstyle and figure, and leaves "mystery" in her character. You don't know what she's attacking, or where she is, it leaves focus on her with the contrast of her color against a brightness centering around her, but you know she's in danger despite her emotions not being clear whatsoever. The bats are a great touch, and reminds me of Van Helsing for some reason.

The old one was dirty. Red+brown+black+silver. Her bolt is glowing red for no reason, her ultimate crossbow looks fugly. She's holding her arm-bow in a strange way, and I'm still confused as to what she has behind her collar. Hair? Armor?

The new art direction is to feature a champion in their natural fighting mode, and I honestly think it's a good thing.

Bump for old Vayne splash art. In new one she looks like a maniac whereas in old one she a calm, collected and a scary night hunter.
