Banning hovered champs

Hey,

I was wondering what's the point being able to ban champs hovered by your own team in champ select. This is really frustrating when a teamate bans your champion. There are plenty of trolls out there doing this. It always ends badly: people get toxic, they go for troll picks instead and there are a LOT more queue dodge because of that.

This is especially true when a new champ/rework/skin comes out. Could we simply just not allow people to ban the hovered champs. Thanks!

If you have a later pick and hover a popular champ, someone might not trust that it'll still be there for you to pick.

You might be hovering a TOTALLY off-meta pick that someone doesn't trust you to pull off.

Sometimes, people hover random stuff just for fun.

EDIT: Downvoting this post doesn't change what it says. These are all actual reasons that people would want to ban a hover.

OH, and I came up with a new one. Reworks (swain)/new champs in ranked.

Just don't use pick intent. That's what i do.

So your own teammate bans yasuo, then when all of the bans come out yasuo is also banned by the other team...not being able to ban hovers wouldnt have changed that

And also, as others have said, if you're last/later pick and youre pick intenting something I dont possibly want to deal with on the other side i'm banning it

They can be banned because there will always be situations where the ban is correct.
