Eve could really use some follow-up damage

Generally speaking, Assassins have options after they blow their combo. They can either use their focus break to bail, or they can hang around doing damage (though certainly less than their initial burst) to secure their kill. This is pretty important, since securing a kill is kinda central to the whole Assassin theme.

Eve has trouble with that, right now. Her combo plays out more like a Burst Mage. She blows her spells and then must poof away with her Ult lest she find herself standing around as a Mage in melee range with literally zero incentive to auto-attack things. She lacks the ability to secure kills if her combo has failed to drop someone below her Ult's execute threshold.

So I got to thinking. What would be an easy way to give her some follow-up without increasing the power of her burst combo?

Well...

Currently her Q can be recast three times after she lobs a spike at someone. What if it could be recast to her dark heart's content as long as the main skill were on cooldown? The damage would be much lower than the first three casts since she wouldn't be proccing the little bonus damage orbs the initial spike inflicts the target with, but it would also be MUCH better than the nothing she currently brings to the table. It would give Eve options. Stick around and secure that kill, or bail with the Ult.

Ye I feel the same. I really enjoy the new Evelyn but I feel like shes missing something and you have a point. Her burst is INSANE if you manage to execute your combo perfectly but if you don't you are screwed. She's really bad in teamfights because she has nothing to offer after her combo which again...isn't easy to execute. Her Q is a skillshot which makes it hard to aim in the teamfight, her E is pretty much melee range. I think she doesn't need any followup damage but instead some sort of protection like for example, if you use your max duration W with E instead of Q, you get some sort of a shield or armor boost for short period of time so she can actually stay there for a little bit longer rather than just press R when you are low.
