Dependent on my team (Looking for advice)

Hello I am a gold player. I've been gold since season 4, I am currently Gold 1 (this is the highest I've ever been). My (League of Legends) life's goal in league is to hit plat, because I've always been told I am not good enough to get there. I want to get there and I am so close; I obviously do not want to get there through boosting as that defeats the point.
But my question is; how do I more consistently win games? I know that there are games that aren't winnable but what can I do to increase my chances? it feels like once we get out of laning I have impact on the game, I can kill people, catch people out, wait at unwarded buffs and make plays. But sometimes I get games where people get DESTROYED early. REAL early like 8/1 Twitch at 12 minutes early. It feels like I don't even get a chance to play the game, like if bot loses my chances of winning decrease by a HUGE %! Also the same with a bad jungler, or a jungler with low priority where the enemy jungler is just running him down and since the enemy is stronger I can't really 2v2 against them.

People just tell me to roam and kill bot but I've noticed that my farm takes a giant hit when I am unsuccessful at roams, which happens very often since it seems people ward in this elo. I am genuinely looking for advice as it seems almost like a coinflip sometimes. Sorry for the novel.
