Strat for Evelynn in new jg?

Been trying out evelynn since I had not really played her before. Read up on her via the wiki. Tried her in game and couldn't do almost anything with her. She seems extremely squishy, but doesn't have that much damage. It also seems weird that some of her abilities are movement speed based even though it's not really that helpful on her as a whole (be cool if her damage increased by her movement speed or something maybe).

Is there some technique to using this champion in the new jungle? I've done other junglers, particularly rengar, and never had this much trouble.

Tip is don't pick eve till she gets a buff. She's useless in the new jungle.

Eve can't jungle now. Try another champion or wait for the buffs.

Yeah, Eve currently has a hard time in the jungle. I love her and almost always have to go back after about 2-3 camps. It's so sad. They really need to do some work where her base damage is concerned.

It's not just you, Evelynn has a seriously hard time in the new jungle, moreso than anyone else probably. I usually burn through 2 potions and smite the frog, and then have to recall after that fight. then I grab blue buff, burning another two potions, and I have to recall after that. Then I can smite clear the chickens, burning a potion, and I have to recall after that and buy some more potions. This makes me level 3. I can then attempt to gank a level 4 character in lane, fail hard, get stomped, called a noob, and laugh as the top lane picks up the kill (and I get an assist). Then I have to give blue buff to another character, recall, clear another camp, recall, and then I might have the gear at that point to finally clear a camp without burning a potion. I still have to recall though because I have no mana.

You are not forced to go istantly to the next camp after killing one in the new jungle, as the respawn times have just gotten way longer Try to do Gromp, then go for Krugs, and then you can start to go for Red by having yet both the buffs and then you can procede to go for the other camps ...better than do 1 camp and recall.

so i tried AD eve in jungle and it wasn't so bad.... i mean im being optimistic here. it was pretty fking terrible. However, Thought id have a go at the AP eve i used to love. HOLY SHIT THE SUCKAGE IS REAL. good thing my team could win the lanes without me cuz my score by the end of our winning game was a whopping 0/1/2. this new jungle took a huge shit...and the poo landed all over evelynn

Ok so I figured it out! Mostly. After a couple of trial runs I did the following:

Run lifesteal/spellvamp rune(s)
Take extra points in utility to get to the spellvamp and lifesteal mastery, then also take all the jungle masteries (butcher, tough skin etc) and max out summoner's insight so you can smite as often as possible.
You want the trailblazer (probably, unless you have a way to clear faster like you're going early ravenous hydra etc) and probably warrior or juggernaut upgrades (something with cooldowns that gives you some extra stats, magus still works but makes her squishier)
Start at red buff or at the rock guys to red buff so you can smite it for the extra hp to make the first clear easier.

Tried this, won the game, went like 10/7 by the end (which is not great but at least it worked and was actually able to clear).

If anyone has a different strategy let me know! Eve Evelynn needs the love.
