Tired of people TRYING/First-Time a champ in ranked

Tired of people feeding a lane to hell just because they decided release day was the perfect day to try out a champ in ranked or that ranked is the perfect place to learn the champ for the first time cough Aurelion Sol, Ryze and other high skill cap champs cough It happens way too often at each single new champ or reworked champ patch

Happens every single time, but Riot doesn't even notify or TRY to act againt this while Games like Smite implemented a system to protect their players the moment they complained about it and it works... While nothing is done here.

They force their players to have Mastery I (equivalent to our mastery II in terms of play time on a champ) before being able to play it in ranked, have 18 of them AND the new/reworked God is automatically ban (''seventh ban'') for the first week of release to shield ranked games.

It works perfectly over there, why can't we implement their new system at least partially (the one week shield would be great) and work it out to force players to have mastery II from the next pre-season and so on before being able to pick a champ in ranked. It wouldn't even affect that much because : It's preseason and people should have already have mastery II on the champs they play in ranked anyway since the it's released, just need to adapt to able to trade.

For big updates like class update that would lock alot of champs at once, just put the ''Week shield'' on the majorly updated reworked champs and not the minor ones. One week is not that bad and it's more than enough for players to learn what they want to learn in normals.

If you can implement a system for those that AFK at the start of a game, you can certainly implement that, especially with the new client underway to help out.

EDIT : To those that downvoted. So you guys love to first-time a champ in ranked and create a bigger possibility for you and your team to lose LP just because you think it's strong or OP ??? Remember what happened with Taliyah 34% win rate even in ranked the first week ? I'm sure you would have loved to have the Smite system to be there and protect you from that kind of situation.

You just report them for unsportsmanlike conduct

I do, I always do, but I still lose LP for it when sometimes I shouldn't because the rest of the team is doing well. Everybody has bad games, but having a bad game because you decide to first-time a champion shouldn't be a reason to have one of them. Most of the time, people don't ever care nor do they bother to report. So I'm pretty sure they are getting away with it most of the time since we get that kind of update once every 1-3 months.

And like I said, Riot never acknowledged the issue even if this kind of thread pops out everytime, no matter how well it is explained or open to discussion.

There are players who experience the champ in PBE and think it's OP. :)

Sadly it happens too and people don't get that PBE players are worldwide (so if you're not from NA, your ping will make you play worse). PBE players are fooling around too much and it's way to easy to get fed/carry a game over there (snowball is heavy for any champ there), but they still use that as an excuse to say they are pro when they barely know the match-ups.

Sadly we can't do anything for PBE ''Excuses'' but imposing a system to protect the live servers (just like what I proposed from Smite) would solve the problem if Riot has enough guts to do it, but they are way too slow or scared to do any major change that would affect the Esports profit. They are not even able to admit their mistakes even when pros call it out loud (Dynamic Queue...)
