Need help. Struggling fighting blitzcrank

It seems like the only way i can get away with fighting blitz is if i have a morgana support or im playing sivir.

Whenever i play cait/ashe/jinx/MF its like blitzcrank is my fucking nightmare.

I cant stand how big the hooks are. They feel like they are nearly DOUBLE thewidth of threshs hook. Ive seen a couple videos where blitz would miss but is hook is ultra forgiving and still lands.

How do you guys deal with him. Even when his hook is down his ult does around 260 base magic damage then 140 power fist and boom. You're nearly dead. I just dont understand how to fight him

Just another thing. Why does blitz do 70% of my health in 1 combo. Thats why i dont care about zyra right now, blitz does the same damage but atleast i can sidestep zyras Q..

How do you guys deal with him?

Best advice I can give you, is to play Blitz. Learn him for yourself and you'll start to learn to avoid his hooks. You need to put yourself in his point of view and figure out when he should throw a hook, and when he does, you can dodge it. I actually enjoy playing vs. a blitz because he isn't a threat to me. Also, in the laning phase, when he misses his hooks you have a 10-15 second grace period where you can be really aggressive.

Ezreal is a good option versus blitz since you can arcane shift out of his hooks (not necessarily dodging them, but casting it so you shift to the new location even after being grabbed).

He is a huge annoyance though, so I expect to be zoned under tower most of laning phase and hope for jungle intervention. If the blitz does throw out a hook [and misses], then promptly abuse him in the hopes of getting him low enough that he won't dare pull you close (as you'd just kill him). Against particularly good blitzs who save their hooks except when they're certain they'll land, expect to be zoned immensely.

(Certain supports who want to get up close also can make blitz more tolerable, as they can body block hooks and turn the grab into an initiation if things go smoothly.)
