sounds logical to buff his mpen and ap to make that damage stronger, which also will make his direct damage stronger
what's the point to add additional % dot from an item?
is it for that 15 flat mpen? like if you got 20 from sorcs and 15 from haunting guise why wouldn't you complete the item and get an additional dot or something?

because brand needs many stats and has high base instead of special scaling. Lategame he will be taking advantage of his range for poke with the occasional burst.
Don't build liandrys if your opponent is stupid enough to dive into your face without being able to actually get rid of you over and over but that usually wont happen in a real world scenario
