In champ select, choices should be locked in so your own team can't ban them

I've been seeing it about 5% of the time (so it isn't a huge issue), but I believe in champ select our pre-select choices should be locked in. This is to prevent your own team from either accidentally banning your pick or from troll-banning your pick.

Obviously, this won't affect the enemy team from still banning that champion. It just adds a little security to your own team's bans.

Let me know what you think. I believe it to be a solid option.

no good. say someone on your team wants yasuo so nobody on your team can ban it.

oops. the other team just first picked yasuo.

now you have a player that doesnt have his pref champ and your team has to deal with yasuo

there are times when you should ban a champ even if your team wants it such as a high played op champ lets take riven when she came out as an example she was super strong and was pick or ban but if your top laner is last pick and their top laner is first pick then its safe to say you should ban out riven so the other team wont get it.

No, absolutely not. You'd end up with a far worse situation where people queue as Support, hover the most OP champion of the patch, and refuse to budge from that hover until someone gives them their preferred role.

A warning even you're about to accidently ban an ally champion? Sure, sounds great, but you should be able to ban regardless.

Because I am stuck in the situation where I main a champion that a lot of people don't like playing with or against: Evelynn. When I pick her in pre-select, there are occasions where my team mates ban her. I'm not a one-trick pony, by any means, but I have played over 600 matches on her just this season and carried myself to Platinum.

You guys need to be a little more realistic about this. You can't "force" your team comps.

And as far as banning a champion that someone on your team wants, just so the other team doesn't get it? That's dumb. That's why they allow you to swap champions. Pick it first for them and trade, if it's that essential.

At the end of the day, competition aside, the game is about having fun and playing who you want to play. If your own team is banning your pick(s), it's not going to be a good time.
