Give "Bonus healing and shielding power" a name already.

"+10% Bonus healing and shielding power" "+10% Grace" "+10% Respite" "+10% Aid" "+10% ADC adoration"

This is the longest stat name in the game and it could use a nice name change with a tooltip explanation a la Lethality. Saw a similar suggestion in a comment a while back and I'm surprised it didn't get more followup.

It would also make me feel cooler when supporting. "I'm stacking Grace." Ooh boy.

At the same time, heal/shield power is pretty self explanatory, while lethality tends to have the effect of "wtf is lethality" on people who may have been away from the game when it was introduced (and tbh a whole bunch of people who were actively playing at the time too).

They understand armour pen, but lethality is some strange other thing they don't understand, and in the midst of a game they don't have time to be hunting down and reading a tooltip.

"+10% we wanted to give supports scaling utility, but when we let them scale up all the fun stuff they had super oppressive late game, so we settled on giving them scaling for the boring abilities their allies want them to be about, instead of on all the really cool stuff"

Nah. Giving stats names just makes them harder to grasp. Lethality would be easier to understand right away if it was still called armor pen.

Escheton6/23/2017, 2:06:52 PM3 votes

How about JUSTICE!

Then add a nearby ally shield on Garen ult (completely making him viable again).

Langhof6/23/2017, 4:28:20 PM3 votes

Just call any stat that increases shielding and healing something like "spirit" or "piety", maybe even "intellect"

FilDaFunk6/23/2017, 7:36:57 PM3 votes

DIVINATION (more relevant to shields)

+10% Where does it hurt~

Jinzo Torrance6/23/2017, 2:54:51 PM2 votes

Why? Is the tooltip going to be "Grace: for every % of grace your shields and heals are increased by the same % amount"? What's the point?

Hollandiae6/23/2017, 11:41:44 PM2 votes

Call it "Salvation", I wanna feel like Jesus.

Civafu6/24/2017, 3:56:33 PM2 votes

Not sure if it's the same on NA, but on EUW the stat name is "+8% Heal and Shield Power", which is just as long as "+10% Cooldown Reduction"

Lets just call it what it is, your stacking Extra Marksman lifeforce, so marksman lifeforce stacks.

While they're at it, they could rename magic resistance to spirit. Then the phrase magic penetration could be renamed to spirit penetration, which would actually make sense! I mean, there's no chance to rename armor to physical resistance, right? Not that I'd be in favor of it.

heals and shields are both dynamically different, there is likely not a word that refers to both fluidly.
