Sett Thoughts

I genuinely think this is the best champion released since Kled, in terms of gameplay. I do some have minor issues with the power budget of his kit and I'll go in depth with each ability he has and what I think of em.

Passive

pt 1 - This passive makes this character complete. It feels good to use, it doesn't feel awkward or unnatural at all. When I first heard about sett existing and looked at purely his numbers I was convinced his passive was busted, but it isn't, and it feels just right.

pt2 - Unbiased lover of Dota 2's Huskar: Simple and effective sustain. All juggernauts have their own forms of staying power, and Sett's is perfect for him.

Q

This might be one of the most simple yet brilliant abilities released for a character in a long time. For starters, the 30% movement speed when moving towards enemy champions is just what Sett needs to engage, but it cannot be used for anything besides that. The auto-reset is great, and makes Sett feel nicer to play and raises his skill ceiling by just that much. The damage being % max health is one again, perfect for Sett's role, and makes nuking squishies a bit harder. My only gripe with this ability is it's general lack of strength, but more on that in the next ability.

W The Grit shield mechanic is great risk vs reward, and rewards quick thinking in a fight.

The damage though. We gotta talk about that.

This ability is clearly Sett's best, and thats my issue. His W overshadows his Q and E so much that it feels awful to miss, and generally makes Q and E much less satisfying. I genuinely don't know what to think of the True Damage "sweetspot" so I wont even comment on it. All I ask for is for some damage to be siphoned from W and his Q and E buffed slightly.

E Another fairly simple ability that rewards smart thinking in combat, but also allows for single target pulls without a stun. Simple, effective, I like it.

What would I change about this ability if W was nerfed? Well thats hard to say, simply giving it damage would be fine, but I think a potential change would be to make single target pulls not bounce the target off you, and keep them directly next to Sett.

R

Holy shit this is the most fun ability in the entire game. Move over lee sin, Sett is now the Insec king. This ability feels so fucking good to use, and allows for some clever plays. Ult the yasuo being a moron in lane under your tower. Ult the tank in a teamfight for some big AoE damage. Ult the assassin out of the fight. Sett's ult is just fantastic. Can we have a gamemode thats just Sett's R with the ability to Vector cast it to choose the direction you yeet you and your opponent?

Closing thoughts If riot makes more champions like Sett, I think the game has a slightly brighter future. He might be my new main.
