I dont know why but every time i think of champions to play I'm like holy crap ima build ludens echo on this one. what champs have you permanently added ludens to their build?

It works great on Vel'Koz, because both the champion and the item scale extremely well with magic pen.

I'm not a midlaner but wouldn't it be easier to name the champions that doesn't use it :P?

It singlehandedly ruined ARAM for me, though I have yet to try the mode with the recent changes. Looking forward to that.
Seems like the item is broken on a couple champs, but only in situations were they're allowed to build it. Obviously the counterplay to a Ludens based champ is an assassin that forces them into Zhonyas instead, but right now Assassins aren't all that great.
