Expectations and Mordekaiser

The Rework thus far has been controversial And caused very Polarized opinions from various groups in the Community. I don't speak for everyone but having spent 2 months solid on the Boards I have seen some general consensus.

What do the various groups want

Morde Mains: would like a Rework which allows for Mordekaiser to function as an Individual ( not as a gimmick) by utilizing all his abilities and having them all feel impactful (his E always feels weak and Shield drains to fast early game). The introduction of a Team benefiting kit ( without being team reliant to function)

What the existing bottom lane meta wants: DragonForce nerfed severely or removed W passive. Removed Possibly a complete gutting removing him from the game ( depending on who you ask)

What does Riot want: To establish Mordekaiser as a ADC achieve Balance and Move on as fast as Possible

What we know: change is coming to his W possibly full dmg for self cast.

Balancing expectations.

Given the various groups stances on where powershifts should happen My ideas are as follows please feel free to add your thoughts,Rage incoherently, or troll as you see fit

Q dmg nerf. Health cost raised

E base damage and ratios buffed health cost reduced. (20% shield gain per champion hit half as effective vs minions)

W passive removed. (Possibly open up More MS 335 would be ideal)

Dragon nerfed. (Takes 50% increased dmg at rank 1 children of the graves 25% @rank2 and standard dmg @ rank 3)

Bonus idea for more balancing levers: as a possible change to Siphon of destruction. Have the cone originate in Mordekaiser's fist and shot outwards gaining speed as the cone Moves. Which allows counterplay and a Balance lever ( can change the speed at your discretion) Almost like a riven ult. Almost

At this point, if they change his W in a way that lets him Solo Lane efficiently again, I'll be square with Riot

Honestly I liked the overlapping double dmg bit it did encourage good positioning and teamwork. But I don't know what the future holds

If you remove Morde's W passive, it removes him from bot lane. There's nothing different between him, and say Darius or Garen bot. He needs that passive to survive.

The main things I want to balance morde are:

  • Nerf his interactions with rylais. Once he gets that, his mobility issues are over, since he can perma-slow someone. Unless they dash over a wall, they die.
  • 50 range back on his E.

Darius and Garen can't empower their allies though

They can't shrug off poke as easily, either; Darius has to get closer and risk missing to heal and Garen has to leave lane

There are alot of items that he his abilities don't interact with as is adding a core itwm to that list I think is unnecessary

I'd like to see Mord's Q focused more on applying debuffs that lets him ramp up his DPS to marked targets (give back the old AoE function/bonus damage on isolated targets?)

this way you can buff up his first and second hits to feel a little more powerful as well as making his third not just a delete button. it also gives him better teamfight power, because he can more reliably switch targets if he managed to tag them with one of the maces and start hitting them, but it removes the ability to flash-Q someone for cheese kills, which is where i think a lot of people get frustrated. maybe give his Q passive magic damage on his non-empowered AAs to give him something to do there as well?

his W could be a dual-function spell (or even a three-function, if we're feeling creative) that gives him a different recast depending on if he used it for himself or if he threw it onto an ally. possibly give back the ability to throw it on a minion?

E could also have more counterplay but maybe a higher reward, i think we've discussed this a lot too
