Edit: This was meant to be a personal epitaph. But I see more and more piling into this thread with the same crushed spirit and no will to play this game anymore.

I don't think I have ever seen so much veherment hatred for the current state of affairs for a character. Cassiopeia was bad, and Lee Sin's was horrible, but Mordekaiser's some next level shit.

I mean, I ain't even a Mordekaiser main, and I can see how much of a colossal fucking mishandling this rework was. I mean, Mordekaiser was never a symbol of healthy design himself, but the rework made him go from "kinda problematic" to "Sweet shitchugging Christ what is this shit".

i recommand you to leave the game like i did. 3 years of playing morde to end up with an unfun version of tryndamere. for now i'm waiting them to fixe the rework and the "lord of death", (will probably never happen)

If all the threads are going to be "accept your failure", then nothing's going to happen, though I do understand the feeling of seeing them fucking things up epically in spite of how much you complain about it (see support changes in S4 and stale support meta favoring tanks).

They won't revert no matter what we say/do. They simply don't care that they have removed a character from the game that many people enjoyed, for no reason.

Like I've said previously I'll check back on the boards to upvote MM and push for real change but I'm done playing league. It's already happened.

If they release a rereworked Morde thats fun and Metal. I promise to buy the rest of his skins though.

It's sad to see the company ignoring the Morde players. I'm an Olaf main, but I do like playing Mordekaiser, and always thought his Metal theme was really cool.

Ok, so they might not revert the rework, but come on, why not give back self cast AoE DoT w and keep Morde's domain over Metal?

Morde is totally Metal.

How ironic if he becomes "Lord of Death", gets the nerf bat, than is the "Lord of Dying"

I thought Morde was a really cool champion. I wish they could collaborate with Morde players and reach a middle ground. It's not hurtful to pride, it will make everyone happy.

It doesn't even need much work:

remove passive exp from w, make its full damage appliable solo lane, change Q to do lower damage and add a micro gimmick like other skills have, make Morde have inbuilt tenacity scaling with shield or w/e, make his damage grow at each ability hit on targets. Adjust numbers.

There you have a balanced tanky outlaster who can be countered by mobility.

I don't get these threads. They took a champion who is hardly played, put a new spin on him. Got to see him played in Worlds and banned in solo q. Yet "omg you ruined Morde". Like... what the serious f lol. Hard to waste time at work reading threads when their all bs "omg you did something new and exciting f you for changing a champ I never play!" threads. Seriously grow up.

Guys, i REALLY get that lots of people are pissed about the rework, i too don't like it. Could we stop with this riot bashing tough? This sort of attitude just make so that Riot employees (yeah, they are WORKING here, just for remind you) aren't willing to go on the boards and discuss with us.

I kind of agree, but I've been lurking these threads for awhile. The closest to an official response I've seen was CertainlyT shifting all the blame to the PBE testers. When the employee in charge of these changes blames the fans for his failure, it reflects poorly on the company. Failing to respond to previous civil, well-written critiques is bad as well.

New Mordekaiser is far less healthy for the game than old Mordekaiser. He loses a huge chunk of his kit on the other two maps. The promised post-release support hasn't arrived. They changed his visuals for no reason, and now they're changing his lore because it didn't match the new visuals they themselves crafted two months ago. All of these are problems, and Riot has steadfastly refused to communicate on these issues. Honest attempts to talk to Riot, so we're left with talking at Riot and hoping other board members agree.

I do feel bad for the Rioters chosen to be the bearers of bad news though. The few times Rioters have responded they were downvoted into oblivion. They personally didn't deserve downvotes, but fans of Mordekaiser (and game balance) are understandably displeased about the changes and downvoting posts by Rioters in which Riot indicates they'll continue to shove this failed rework down our throats is one of the few ways to get the message across.
