Harsher leaving penalties

We have all had someone leave the game, people get tilted and leave, they have to leave irl, or their internet goes down. But nothing sucks more when you are in a ranked game, or a promos, and you have someone leave on your team. There needs to be a harsher punishment for leaving to discourage people from leaving. Not only should they have the leaverbuster immediately after leaving one game, but they should also receive a double LP loss. Because its not right to ruin the game for everyone else because someone gets tilted and they arent mature enough to play the game through to the end because they dont think its winnable when it clearly is.

Obviously most normal people don't want to see others get banned for their internet going out or serious real world issues.

That's where it gets tough. It's sort of one of those "better 100 guilty men go free than one innocent man hang" situations.

However, if someone literally types in chat "peace out, enjoy the loss" or "I'm done, have fun 4v5", then quits, it seems like case closed to me.

Yes, hypothetically, someone could be bullshitting and then have their power go out (had an unfortunate game where someone was talking shit and I said "What, would you prefer a 4v5?" and then my internet went out.

But if someone sits there spamming FF for fifteen minutes, then threatens to leave, then says they're leaving, then clicks on the God damned disconnect button, then they should absolutely be severely punished. For most people, there's no way to know for sure. But these guys? To hell with them. There's no room for debate about their intentions.

I can mute all flaming, hate speech included. I can't hit a button on some asshole who quit because he didn't like my pick and bring him back into the game.

Also, I love the downvotes on your post from all the little 40% winrate brats who bang out because their mid is 0/4.

should be 1 free dodge with 0 added penalty (the -3lp in ranked stays) a day with your second force dodge being the same 15 or w/e mins and the third is a 24 lockout (similar to cs:go)

Yes, because the only reason people ever leave games is because they are immature people who got tilted
