Riot, you should take a thematic look at Fiora

I'll sum up the reason why with a few quick GIFs:

This is how Fiora should play and feel:

Teh DPS Riposte outplays

This is how it should feel to play against Fiora:

As melee As ranged

This is how Fiora actually plays:

When you try to fight people who are actually strong at dueling When you teamfight instead of 1v1ing

This is what it feels like when the other team picks Fiora:

when you see her picked

TL;DR if Fiora's gonna be the "Grand Duelist", her primary strength should be dueling and not ulting teamfights

EDIT: Guys I just had Sword Art Online on the brain. Fiora doesn't actually have to play like an SAO character (although it would still be totally badass if she did); she should just have her focused pushed to being a mechanically deep 1v1 duelist as opposed to a melee carry with a teamfight-oriented ult.

I personally agree with this sentiment as right now Fiora feels... odd to play? Especially considering her identity.

This could be a lot of the issue.

Her play style may not necessarily fit her theme of being this awesome, highly skilled Duelist. But is that what's right for Fiora in the long run? Is there more than she could be besides simply a French girl that's really good at fencing. What makes her more unique, what makes her stand out past this?

There are so many opportunities to mold her into something stronger, better. Curious what you guys think she could become.

I used to main Fiora top (fuck me right) for about the first 6 months of last season. Played her because she was fun, but i hated the feeling of "we can't team fight till my ult is off cd," because you are softer than Irelia's ass in her frostblade skin.

I found it very strange back then that so many people thought fiora was either terrible or OP. As someone who played her i knew her weaknesses, but they certainly didn't make her terrible. I knew her strengths, but at the time (stupidly) i didn't think she was OP. It was just that the tank meta was what dominated top lane, and we all know what you build to beat Fiora. Mundo/Shyv and Ren didn't exactly have to go off their build path for that.

I'd like for them to change her E and ult. I love the ult, but i hate untagetability. I wish i was creative enough to give suggestions on how she should be changed, but hey i don't get paid for that.

As a Mid Fiora main (And Jungler). High ELO. I disagree with your current pictures.

Your TL;DR says she should "primarily be a duelist and not ulting in teamfights." I agree. That is exactly what Riot did in their latest patch on Fiora. They gave her ult less Multi-Target Damage and more Single-Target Damage. In my opinion as a Mid/Top/Jungle player, there are very FEW champions that counter Fiora in lane. She is such a strong duelist and 1v1 champ, that it always requires the enemy jungler to shut me down.

The major problem I see with Fiora is the stigma against her. Out of 50 games, I probably get about 2-3 ganks. As a Fiora player, you must always prove yourself to your teammates first. This can be difficult, but not impossible. Good Luck Fiora enthusiast.

I don't think sword art online should be her inspiration. Anyways as stated multiple times she has a no brainer kit for a champ whose theme is dueling and outplaying someone. There's nothing mechanical about a fiora play which is why she needs a rework.

I dont like this idea at all.

Fiona should be a mechanically demanding, engaging melee carry with strong dueling potential and the ability to quickly maneuver around the battlefield and outsmart opponents with constant dazzling combos and lightning speed. In service to this core engagement potential, I'm going to suggest something that's going to cause people to pop rage boners at the mere thought of it:

Make her manaless like Riven and Yasuo. They're already more or less doing what Fiona wants to be doing, in their own ways. So lets have Fiona take some notes and let her be the fancy swordswoman we want her to be, as opposed to being like every autoattack-centric champion: Boring until they ult, then still boring but killing people.

Btw nice sword art online :P do you want a asuna skin for Fiora?

I will note that you are not a fiora main and that you mostly play peel champions.

So i see you want riot to nerf fiora again?

I really hope Riot comes through with the Fiora rework. I absolutely love Fiora. I love her Blade Waltz as it curently is, but I think her character as a whole could use some brushing up.

Even though there are times when I time Blade Waltz to finish off one opponent and bounce to another enemy to finish them off as well, Blade Waltz is the only ability in her kit that makes me feel like I played her really well when I pull it off.

I just wish the rest of her kit could be made so that she feels like a champion with an extremely high skill cap, kind of like Yasuo and Riven. I'd love to duel those champions as the reworked Fiora with a higher skillcap.
