Can anyone tell me how this is an improvement over being able to farm IP? Okay, you have a chance to get skins (which I say RIOT owes me over 3000$, since that is what I spent collecting "limited time" or "legacy skins" that they now let anyone get.) But, honestly, what else? You used to get IP every single game. So.

That isn't fully true, on average, you will get less between 35 to 50, 55 to 75, etc.

Oh yeah, if you factor in that, most definitely, but the rate you gain currency is overall the same to less. For newer players, yeah, the system is just better as long as they are playing normals and using the discount system, the system is miles faster, however for veterans, you are now just getting less BE/IP.

The Ecdysiast2 votesFirst off, you're wrong. There isn't even $250 of legacy skins. If you spent near $3000 then you're admitting you bought an account. Second, that has nothing to do with IP. The point now is that new players have a greater chance to just get the shard for a champion they want, so they can get it for half the BE cost.

And blue essence has nothing to do with getting skins. You've brought up two unrelated points in the same post. BE and champion shards have nothing to do with skin shards aside from decreasing the odds you'll get one from a chest. I'm not sure what kind of 5-year break you must've taken to come back and think this is brand new, but you should really stay up-to-date on a game you've supposedly spent over 3k on.

Jamaree1 votesSystem is better outright from 1 to 30 (as long as you aren't playing bot games), better 30 to 35, you will get less BE then you would IP between 35 to 50 around 400 to 800 less which evens out if you use the discount system, the system is outright worst for veterans who already have everything unless they are lucky and only get 6300 champions from chest.
Riot doesn't owe you anything.
