Is it wrong to use Rakan`s W as a gap closer?

Cause I keep getting flamed at by teammates when I (miss) my stun (I thought it was a knockup?) even though the enemy was out of range in the first place....and I was just using it to get close enough to make sure the ult would hit or cost the enemy a flash

It just seems good to flash in w and then ult someone for the one second charm......except for the fact that I end up having to run back because my teammates stopped to type in a bush loling that I missed my stun? In the end the team blames me for missing every stun ....which is incredibly false since I landed more then half of them while in combat.......idk why they blame me I was the only one yelling at them not to do baron while the entire enemy team was alive and had elder dragon and were last seen in the direct center of the map.

But the whole point of this is and the real question is, is it ever viable to use s entire kit to set up and make picks? Or save for group fights? Because Ive been flamed alot for doing the first.

And yes my teammates did have the mobility to catch up and get the kill aswell, they just wernt moving or wernt paying attention.
