Reminder that Death`s dance reduces lifesteal / spell vamp on you by a third.

33% 30% of the damage they would have dealt to you is instead done to you as a bleeding effect over time, meaning they dont get the healing.

Good against champs like Aatrox Kayn Fiddlesticks Nasus Mordekaiser Warwick and items like item 3812 item 3146 item 3153 item 3072

So prioritize this item if you are going against these champs and can kind of afford it on your champ.

Or be like me...I built it on tahm kench against kayn because I cant really build grevious wounds against him...turned out really well lol. His R would still chunk me and heal him a bit but my w + q chunked him back enough to heal myself back to full. ( I also had ravenous hunter and visage)

To put this in a slightly easier to understand wording.

Deaths Dance causes 33% of the damage you take to become a bleed DoT, This Bleed DoT effect is applied by DD, not the champion, Therefore, you are removing 33% of the lifesteal from a champions attack, because the damage is being dealt to you by DD, and not the champion.

I thought Death's Dance was 30% damage transferred to a bleed.

I thought you were saying BoRK and DD had anti-synergy ... but this is actually cool. I never thought of that.

SN: Couldnt Morellos apply to Rhaast? You can use the AP a little, it has HP too and Sunfire Wounds everything near you constantly

i almost always buy DD first when playing Olaf Trundle Renekton Gnar Aatrox Poppy and a handful of others top regardless how how much sustain they have--the combination of stats it gives, as well as the badass bleed passive, make you deceptively hard to kill in a 1v1 especially. If you're playing a champion that has nice AA-resets, and you follow it up with a TForce, you will recover pretty ludicrous amounts of damage when you get your trades off, too.

i don't see people buy it as nearly much asitem 3074, as a first-item, which is really curious because this item is absolutely dope....probably one of my favourites lol

"taken as bleed INSTEAD" Jesus, this is like Magic The Gathering over here. "technically..." xD really cool though, I had no idea. Not sure if it's intentional.

Ah shit. That's kinda like...really good. Jeez.

Wait a second...

Does Death’s Dance heal you for 15% of the true damage it deals to you?

Kuponya4/28/2019, 6:47:43 AM2 votes

Did you actually confirm it or are you just guessing? Cause someone who thinks they can't build grievous wounds when item 3076 exists doesn't exactly have merit without actual testing.

but the bleed dot is useless against champions with death's dance since the DoT heals them because the DoT deals damage and Death's dance is when damage is done so if the enemy is stronger and has death's dance it's not the best item go for but potential though I give you the props

LordGeovanni4/27/2019, 5:56:26 PM1 votes

I doubt it does even though it should work like that

DuskDaUmbreon4/28/2019, 4:49:40 AM1 votes

That's...Actually really interesting, and makes total sense that it would happen when you think about it, even though it doesn't really seem related at first.

Fascinating.

Right idea but poorly worded title; the reduced healing only applies to your aoe & dot effects, you're right about it acting as an anti-burst passive though.

I actually forgot about this. Thanks for the reminder!
