I despise the skirmisher class.
It's almost entirely made up of cancer

The real problem with skirmisher (or Melee ADC) is simply that positioning is not an appropriate balancing measure for someone with a Melee reach. As such, They become a Stats check. (Either I can out duel them, or I can't, Either I can out run them or I can't) How can Riot Break that mold?
First of all, they need more team wide presence, so their power budget doesn't make them an oppressive duelist. Meanwhile they need to add windows of power to their other wise strait up DPS. And usually that window offers some level of unreliability.
The Fiora Rework accomplished this with her vitals, as well as her ultimate healing her entire team. Kled is a more recent example whos W triggers on Auto with no control, and his ult offers a team engage.
