Elise, are you serious?

This kit is making me die laughing. Temporarily untargetable, percent health damage, 2 second stun without a longass delay, -restate the exact same statement three times in a row -, heals on hit, dropping down on enemies - restate the exact same thing a fourth time -, extra magic damage spiderlings, transformation ult for 7 abilities in total, a fifth rephrasing of the exact same thing, and 2 passives.

In reply to a certain Ekko thread. Is it really so necessary to complain about champions by only listing their strengths and not citing their weaknesses? I mean really, how easy do you honestly think it is that you can perfectly coordinate around his Parallel Convergence? That's like half of his kit being "overloaded" right there.

liberty of expression, but the thing that upset me, is the ekko thread is massively upvoted by noobs :/

A kit that huge always spell out trouble, doesn't matter if he has actual weaknesses or not, it just shouldn't happen in a roster based tatical/strategy-ish game.

Did you not read the part where Elise has 7 abilities.

And also the part where she has been trouble for quite some time which Riot simply decided to Eve her instead of actually trying to balance her due to the kit simply not being the balance-able kind.

Yet Riot just keeps shatting out overloaded kits for whatever reason anyway.

Because they sell the champs with overloaded kits to make money. Then they just nerf them after the sales stop.

Elise would be fine her her cocoon reset her ult cooldown tbh.

My biggest problem with Ekko is that despite being a "utility Assassin" his kit doesn't function the way a Utility Mage's should. Because His shield Scale's for so much, and his Stun doesn't scale with levels, Ekko can basically put one point in that ability and get basically all of the strength out of it. So he can max everything else, Have high damage, and still get a 2.25 second stun + a huge shield at rank 1. Comparatively, most of Orianna's strength's are gated by her rank. She has to max q in order to get her full Zoning potential, she has to max her W in order to do damage, and if she doesn't max her shield it remains extremely weak. She can't just max one ability and get all of her damage and utility at once. I'd feel a lot better about Ekko if his stun just scaled with rank, and if he didn't have the second strongest shield in the game. (first if you decide to not count Karma's, since her shield is only stronger when she augments it with her ult.)

EDIT: I get that his shield is stronger because he's Melee, and probably because he also can't cast it on other players, but it still feels wrong to have an assassin that kills just as well as all the other Assassins while also outscaling almost every utility mage

And how much utility does Elise have in her seven ability kit? She grants a bit of vision and has a stun that she leaves at rank 1 because she ranks up poison and skittering frenzy instead. She was amazing on release because bruisers were strong and she was designed to duel them. It just so happened that she killed everything else well in the process. Elise has plenty of downsides these days.

The reason no one is listing any of Ekko's weaknesses is because he doesn't have any. "He's squishy" is not a weakness. Not with that kind of utility and mobility. When you can take flash, have access to so many stuns and slows, and can also jump over walls and blink around, being squishy is nothing. Those are some INCREDIBLY forgiving positioning tools he has.

I started playing this game in open beta and back then champions did like, ONE thing. Not seven. They also traded some things to be strong in other things and mobility and utility came at a huge cost. Look at Ashe's old kit. For the longest time she was one of the lowest damage ADCs in the game because she had a great initiation stun and vision/innate slowing. What, exactly, is Ekko giving up to have all the stuns, slows, and everything else in his kit?

His blink is only targetable on enemies, his stun is on a long ass delay and projected before it lands, as well as just initially when he casts it so you know it's coming. If Ekko's beating you, it's because you're not playing smart enough, and to quote every Katarina player ever: "Just CC him". Kappa.

Edit: What is he giving up? Reliability. Everything in his kit aside from his E and auto attacks are avoidable with proper positioning and counterplay, Ekko at his best is extremely dominant but at his worst he's useless. Which one the Ekko in your game turns out to be is up to you and your teammates.

The telegraphing on the abilities.

Prediction: His passive will have the AP scaling nerfed, his shield's base will be nerfed and the base on his heal and the AP scaling on his ult damage will be nerfed. In return he may get a second or two off of some of his abilities.

My post was so popular it spawned 3 hate posts

What did I repeat 3 times? Don't worry I'll repost it here and get you some attention.

Massive shield, percent health damage, 2.25 second stun, TONS of mobility, blink, the ability to instantly return after recalling with ult up, big heal, another blink, extra magic damage passive, nuke ult, a dash and 2 way large damage dealing slow.

The only thing that I will admit is redundant would be the instant return after recall. He does have 2 blinks and just in case your confused his % damage is different than his bonus magic damage.

Once again, THIS WAS NOT A QQ THREAD, I had a great time playing him and I can't wait until I get off work to play him again. Everyone else on the thread turned it into him being OP. An overloaded kit isn't directly OP he just has ALOT. Like so much that you had to pretend I repeated myself to fill in the blanks when doing your version with Elise.

TL;DR Stop the hate, geta blowjob

All it would take is one LCS game where she did reasonably and the sheep would be all over her again. She's got all the tools she needs to be successful. She is out of Vogue because she isn't a tank jungler.

Or heaven forbid someone should remember that she has targeted % damage harass and just remember top lane elise still exists.
