@Riot @Vel'Koz Mains - What We Like About Vel'Koz: A Genuine Discussion Regarding the Mage Update
Okay. First thing's first. This is not a place to complain about the Vel'Koz update or to start some noble quest to "save" Vel'koz. We have to understand that, whether we like it or, some changes are most likely going to be made to Vel'Koz, and it's not productive of us to complain about it or to bash Riot. Trust me, the update will go a lot better if we get involved early in the process and help collaborate with Riot. That being said, this is a place to have a serious and genuine discussion about Vel'koz in the context of the immobile mage update. There are some guiding questions for discussion below, but feel free to share any comments, questions, or concerns you have - as long as they're phrased constructively.
Topics to Discuss:
-
What draws you to play Vel'Koz? What do you like about him? Do you dislike anything about him?
-
What do think distinguishes Vel'Koz from the other artillery mages?
-
What do you feel are Vel'Koz's strengths and weaknesses, and how do these contribute to his feel as a champion and his role in team comps?
-
How do you feel about the skill cap of Vel'Koz? Too low? Too high? Is he an easy-to-learn, hard-to-master kind of champ, or is he something else?
-
Would you like Vel'Koz's ability to play both support and mid to be left intact, or should one role be prioritized?
-
Are there any skills that should just be left alone? Which ones should be changed? Do you have any ideas to change them?
-
Best feeling to have when playing as Vel'Koz? Worst? Best Moment you've had playing Vel'Koz? Worst?
-
Anything else you feel needs to be discussed?
Thanks for taking a look guys. Take some time to answer some of these questions if you feel inclined. I'll be doing the same. Also, lets try to get this to the front page and make it visible, so everyone can share feedback and Riot can see. Remember: this is to help make the Vel'Koz update go well, and to keep our favorite floating eyeball monster as knowledgeable, deadly, and as geometrically apt as possible.
