Is there an effective way of countering a sated Yi?
I would like to know from a pro what is a good way to counter a Yi AFTER pick and bans. And not only cc. That will counter just about everybody.

Yes. Kill him before he gets sated and try to end the game as early as possible.
If it gets to late game, Yi WILL carry, just like Vayne.
I don't understand Master Yi so well, could someone please explain why sated jungle item is good on him? Is it the combination of damage types alone that makes it so only raw health does anything against him or is there more to it than that? If my questions are stupid, I'm not surprised. I have never really done well playing with him.
Well, I just got out of a game where i was Warwick and was facing a Yi. We both got sated around the same time and he started face rolling my team so from mid game on my main job was to ult Yi right as every team fight started. I know that you said not to include CC as a solution so forget the ult for a second. I feel that a similar attack speed champ (WW, Xin, Jax) would help diminish his power. Yi has two options. He can either focus you and possibly go even while your teams fight, or he can focus your team in which case you jump on him while he's got his back turned.
That's obviously not a perfect solution and a lot can go wrong but he is pretty squishy so you've got a good chance.

Invade and counter aggressively. Counter gank/jungle.
Try to stop him from getting gold early as possible, the longer it takes him to buy dev the longer it will prevent him from stacking. Invade him and force him to fight (to not only ^ stop him from farming and getting gold), it will slow down his stacking. But you will need a good jungler to dual him early. Gank lanes really hard and snowball every (or 2) lanes and use that lead to get wards into his jungle. Ward his jungle so you know where he is at all time. Tell your mid laner to near the enemy wraith/raptors and you ward near his blue/wolves so you can keep track of him at all time. Carry pinks and ward river (bush) entrance. Tell your support/adc to ward his jungle as well. After you ward, you can try to countergank and snowball his useless ganks early. Last but not least, a good amount of CC and sustain damage. And you cant have a bunch of squishies where if he kills one he can reset on to everyone.
