Is it even worth getting Hydra on Kha'Zix anymore?

Ravenous Hydra provides clear speed, AD, life steal, and an active burst.

However, when I play Kha'Zix I only need two of those: AD and the active burst.

Kha'Zix has amazing clears with the recent changes, and even better clears by the time I'm about to pick up Tiamat, which is usually my 4th item (including boots).

His W + SotA provides enough healing to only have to buy 3 pots at the beginning and never buy sustain again. I've never needed to buy a Hunters potion, buy extra pots, or buy death's dance.

The AD is probably better to get on a more efficient item, because now I'm wasting those other stats for an item that's hella expensive.

Really, the only thing I wan't is the active. Is it even worth building on him anymore, or is it better just to replace it? The gold changes to Hydra and introduction of both buffs to Kha'Zix and the SotA mastery makes it... well, sad.

You're better off with deaths dance and duskblade. Or if you don't want the passives from deaths dance then get youmuus for the armor penetration and attack speed/movement speed. Combo it with your invis as an escape option or use it when your q e doesn't kill

if NOTHING else buy rageblade or zhonya

What you should be doing is buying a Tiamat and upgrading into hydra after you get your Youmuu's and black cleaver or deaths dance.

I usually get Youmuu's right after jg item and then hydra either next or after a defensive item. I feel like I should just replace it for DD and then go defensive items after

I bought it last season because there were very few options to maximize AD casters' dmg, but now you have three-thousand items. I go for ArPen anytime I can and it lets you do infinite damage and snowball out of control. Hydra is honestly not felt necessary.
