I miss fun

Multi-layered fun. I miss being able to do Ultimate Bravery. I miss being able to build tank on carries and damage on tanks. I miss having options, I miss being able to play a really goofy build and have fun doing it. I miss obscure and wonky strategies, I miss silly things like Clairvoyance AP Ezreal dedicated to taking your blue buff. I miss custom game lobbies, Phantoml0rd's race around the Rift, hide-and-seek. I miss when you could have fun even while losing.

Nowadays, the moment you're behind, you get obliterated. If you're even marginally weaker than your opponent you get obliterated. If you pick a champion Riot doesn't favor you get obliterated. There's no custom game lobbies, there's all of two maps to play, and you can't even meet new people in a general chat. You can't spectate high-elo games without watching their streams or having them added. You can't Ultimate Bravery without Riot punishing you for troll building, Clairvoyance is gone, you've lost the hyper-specific and trollish rune page options. You've lost jungle item variety, you've lost a lot of individual strategy or lack-of-strategy. You can't even talk in game without a fear of being reported - remember when trash talking was allowed? Not anything obscene, but saying "damn you just got fun'd on" or "nice try kid" can get you reported. You can't interact with anybody, but you have to communicate. You can't strategize, but you have to have strategy. You can't have fun unless you're winning, because fun equals 600 damage in one hit, and no-fun equals being on the other end.

Fun is something League of Legends has lost. Fun is something I wish League of Legends could get back. I miss Fallout: New Vegas options, but we're stuck with Fallout 4 options.
