Why not just release separate patches for Competitive League of Legends?
Just some food for thought, but why doesn't Riot just release separate patches for the comp league scene?
It just really doesn't seem like it's easy for Riot to balance out the Pro scene from the Solo scene. I mean just look at Ryze. Here's a quote from RiotRepertoir that I grabbed from an AskRiot:
>Ryze is a common example of being dependent on team coordination as well as mastery of the champion’s inputs (i.e. hitting his buttons correctly in any given circumstance), so it can be difficult to get him into a state where he feels balanced for pros but still useful to solo queue players of all levels. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the things that would need to be done to make Garen a powerful option in pro (or even high skilled solo queue play) would likely mean he’s disgustingly powerful for most players.
More examples would be the 'recent' Baron changes, which I noticed did spring up a bit of controversy on the Boards (but to be honest, what doesn't spark some controversy on the boards?).
I do doubt that Riot would go ahead and separate the balance team to try and make two completely different version of League of Legends, but it would just be nice to see them put some thought into it, to go ahead and make the game easier. Invest early with hard work to get an easy life in the end.
