Will Akali still have Laura Bailey as the voice actor after the rework? Laura is my favorite voice actress for gaming ever, and her voice seems to work so well with Akali. I doubt that this will actually get an answer to it, but I just want this question to exist here, because I did see the same thing brought up by the AkaliMains subreddit.
Based on previous Rioter's comments (like Reav3), this is what they do.
They bring in a bunch of voice actors, including the older one if available & decided to return. Have them all audition for the role & picks the one that best fits the updated champ. And that's it I believe.
There's no guarantee Laura will still be Akali's VA. I want her to be though. She was the main reason I picked up Akali in the 1st place. Laura definitely has the skills for it. I don't know if she would be cool with it or not, but I get the small feeling she would.
But then it becomes a question of how much of Akali personality will change. If so, will Laura be able to provide a voice that matches the updated Akali? We know her narrative is going to be an updated extension of her old lore rather than an overhaul & rebuilt from the ground up. So it's possible Akali's personality will stay the same. You know, serious with a little bit of cockiness based on her current VO.

I’d say wait until they start actually talking more about the rework and asking the question in their roadmap or on reddit. It’s too early for them to give any details.
If they can afford her, want her, and set up a contract, then I'm sure she'll do it. Sometimes they want a different VO though.
Wait... WAIT. Akali's voice actress is the same one that did Luna from Virtue's Last Reward?!
I wouldn't mind Tara strong as the voice actress tbh
