Let's Have A Polite Brainstorming Session (Please Read)

Hey Guys!

I was thinking of possible ways to change Yasuo to be less of a nuisance when you're in lane, as well as the ever-annoying concept of getting 100% crit chance with a stattik and cloak of agility.

So. Here's where my thought process comes in.

Also, if you guys have any good thoughts, please add them in a comment, and I'll add them to the body for others to easily read them.

Yasuo Changes:

Passive: Removed: Double Crit Chance Added: Yasuo doesn't crit. Instead, whenever he would crit, he deals the second half of his crit damage as a bleed effect over 3 seconds. This effect refreshes whenever Yasuo crits with his basic attacks and Steel Tempest. This effect can not stack. If Yasuo uses Sweeping Blade on a target that is currently bleeding, the target takes the remaining damage instantly, and the bleeding stops. Infinity Edge will effectively make Yasuo's basic attacks deal 125% damage when they crit, resulting in a full 250% damage crit when the bleed duration finishes. This passive doesn't apply to crits with stattik shiv, resulting in the full damage.

W: Wind Wall: Added: Wind Wall's active duration is based on his current amount of Flow, as well as consuming a bit of flow if Yasuo has any, from a minimum of 1-2 seconds to a max of 4-5 seconds, based on ability rank.

What do you guys think about this? Seems good, or seems unnecessary? You guys do some brainstorming too!

EDIT:

So... if I read it right, the point of this new passive is to make crits give him less damage than everyone else, and to make that damage apply over time instead of at once, and to make it so that he attempts to build to crit roughly once every 3 seconds or lose damage because it doesn't stack. What is supposed to make this interesting or useful for the player? What makes this better than having no passive at all? I only see downsides. Not the biggest fan of the W idea either. Flow isn't robust enough to pull double-duty as a shield and a gate for windwall strength. There's no way to hold onto it for a needed time or realistically control the rate of (you can't just stand still in a real game). If we had to nerf it, making it more angle-dependent (such as not blocking projectiles from the sides or behind) or something else to make it easier to play around would be better options. EDIT 2:

I think if he's applying a bleed when he crits, instead of the crit damage, then the bleed damage should stack, and it should also apply to shiv crits as well. While i like the Idea of the W changes, I think we shouldn't consume flow to use it, instead base its duration off of flow. So at rank 1 it would last 1 - 3 seconds based on the % of flow he has. At max rank it would be 3 - 6 seconds based on % of flow he has. FrostedReapers

Thanks Guys for your feedback.

Passive: Whenever Yasuo would crit, he applies a bleed on his target whenever he crits with his basic attacks and Steel Tempest. This bleed deals the second half of his crits over 3 seconds. This bleed effect can stack up to three times, increasing the bleed effect damage and Yasuo's basic attack and Steel Tempest base crit damage up to 30%, making crits (without IE) deal up to 230% damage. If Yasuo uses Sweeping Blade on a target that is bleeding, they take the bleed damage instantly, and the bleed effect ends. This bleed effect applies to crits from Stattik Shiv.

Wind Wall (W): Added: Yasuo can only block projectiles from the direction the wall is facing. For example, if an Ahri throws her Orb of Deception, and Yasuo puts up his wall after it passes him, then it would still be able to return to Ahri. Duration of the wall is more substantial in relation to the amount of flow he has, from 1-2.5 seconds to 3-5 seconds.

I think having a passive which literally only hurts the champion is bad design. People shouldn't be thinking "I'd be so much better if I just didn't have one of my abilities".

I see your point. Totally agree. I'll add something to change that and mention you in the edit.

Something Someone stated before is that his crit should be tied to has w(20/40/60/80/100) so he would be gated with his damage but has so utility to be useful, Or make his windwall eat his flow, or make his extra crit gain be 1/3 instead of double. I have some more i can think of but i wanty to hear what others think

As a yasuo main This preseason has made him just abit to much so i have been playing other people cause i feel like a nazi afterwards

While I like the changes to his W, I feel like the changes to his 2nd passive (the double crit) is a bit... weird. I think if he's applying a bleed when he crits, instead of the crit damage, then the bleed damage should stack, and it should also apply to shiv crits as well. This makes his new crit based passive a lot more interesting and easier to play against because now its damage over time that sustain can help you survive with instead of someone who gets 100% crit in laning phase and then crits your team for 1200 every time he auto's or Q's.

While i like the Idea of the W changes, I think we shouldn't consume flow to use it, instead base its duration off of flow. So at rank 1 it would last 1 - 3 seconds based on the % of flow he has. At max rank it would be 3 - 6 seconds based on % of flow he has.

Totally agree. Was thinking here, and I might have something that is a good compromise, and still works. I'll put in the thing with the stattik crits following the rules of his passive and mention you in the edit.

Personally, I think nerf his passive crit multiplier to 75% and nerf crit chance as a whole. It's far too easy for ANYONE to get a ridiculous amount of crit chance and be able to kill an enemy in a matter of a few AAs. I think nerf the crit chance on pretty much every final item except IE.

The only change I would like is the following:

Windwall only blocks projectiles which pass through the front of it. Projectiles passing through the back or sides of the Windwall are not affected.

It's annoying how he can just sit within his Windwall and be essentially immune to projectiles from all directions.

Though it would be nice if Riot could clean up the coding for some abilities (i.e. Talon's ultimate, Nami's ultimate) so that only the section of it which impacts the Windwall disappears instead of the entire thing.

Aside from those two, I honestly have no issues with him.
