I've come to a conclusion on complaint threads.

At least 50% of complaint threads weren't originally mad enough to make the thread in the first place. The reason they make the thread is because of the presence of others like it.

The boards go through phases of complaint, a few recent ones to mention are the normal draft removal, flex queue mmr, assassin update (although tame compared to other large updates), and the current one, autofill.

Outside of these little more than few day phases, complaints directed at those topics are sparse, but during those phases everyone is making a post about it. The phases are usually started by one main post, which gets to front board and everyone follows suit to get upvotes and agreement.

After the phase ends, you don't see the posts much anymore because people get bored of the spam and start to not upvote them anymore out of staleness. The cycle then repeats.

TL;DR Memes and Games has remained our savior.

Exactly. People are sheep, people are copycats and wanting those likes yo. So with that said, can I get some likes? Boost my all time upvotes.

They aren't necessarily sheep, but they don't have the confidence or need to make a post in the first place because they are afraid of negative feedback. The popularity of a post gives the security that people will agree with them.
