Ashe "Nerf" On Q Activation vs. Turrets - Why? (POLL)
After patch 5.10 and
's rework, I think everyone was delighted to see that the Frost Archer has become more viable and fun to play as ever, her capability as an ADC after her rework made her akin to
in that she is now able to provide consistent damage and utility in the form of her ultimate and E as well as her passive slow throughout the game. The cherry on top was the fact that with the charge on Ranger's Focus, you could not take out turrets at the same speed as say
or
.
As you can see in the Patch Notes (link) for 5.11, the way this seems to be described is that Ashe could somehow proc Ranger's Focus off of attacking turrets, which **IS NOT **the case at all. Just like
with Lightslinger's double-shot, in order to proc Ranger's Focus, you would have to attack minions / use Volley to proc the ability BEFORE you could use the bonus AD and attack speed against a turret. I'm not sure if this is a misunderstanding or what, but this actually, in my opinion, lowers Ashe's viability again, as other ADCs such as
and
can shred turrets faster with similar mechanics that haven't seen much alteration (other than the attack speed nerf on Jinx's mini guns in 5.10) since they debuted.
Does anyone else agree that this was not needed? That doing so places Ashe backward in the viable ADC line-up for season 5 even after her rework which brought her back into the spotlight? Yea, so the damage was reduced on Volley, I get that. But why take away her capability of securing objectives?
