Jax is pretty much a tanky assassin right now.

Hardest champion to kill in the game while deleting anything that can threaten him.

Enough is enough Riot. Get rid of Jax, gut him. this champion is a walking ball of stats there's no meaningful interacting around him

He's talking about Jax in which he is right. Jax was pretty average if not below average this season until they released conqueror. Now he is a major pain for a lot of champions.

Jax is one of the few champs (old aatrox is another that I remember) that got massive "compensation" buffs from the release of runes reforged.

Jax lovers can act like "nothing about him has changed" but they are full of shit.

the only thing that changed was runes reforged. You just said it yourself. He got compensation buffs but even they weren't enough, then conqueror came around and he became meta because damage has spiked

17.6 % pick rate and 30% ban rate is above the "high" threshhold of meta, which is 15% pick rate. Exceptional pick rate is above 20% and we have multiple champions exceeding that this meta

if you want what is standard meta: 8% or above pick rate is standard meta... 3% is average pick rate

on average, he was at best "above average" and his pick rate rose as damage did

the thing is he already got a way to negate attacks so he doesnt need the free armor the ulti gives him

what would you propose replace it then? He's already focused almost entirely on his auto attacks for damage with his W being a reset, Q is just a gapcloser and E being his method of avoiding damage while he closes in

he wasn't a problem until riot started messing with the fundamentals of the game and then decided to push him over the top with a rune that is essentially impossible to balance for anyone that can use it unless you make them feel awful to play without it or nerf it to where it's just a niche pick

You should have seen it when:

Jax had passive dodge.
Ninja Tabi had dodge.
Phantom Dancer had dodge.
There was no such thing as Unique Passives yet, so they all stacked.

He used to be worse. That said, Runes have given everyone so much damage that a champion like Jax feeds on that. He already did massive damage, and runes pushed him over the scale.

not really racist, more of a fear. Someone went to jail for it when I was a kid because they were stealing any animals they came across, stray or not

so long as it's a thing anywhere, people are going to be afraid that it could happen to pets that they know. Doesn't really have to do with discrimination. It's a stereotype because it's the easiest way to think of it

you wouldn't want to think of someone just randomly moving into your neighborhood and killing pets for food. Asian cultures made themselves known for it and the impression stuck

Fear is not something you can justify, but it is an instinct to protect from potential dangers

Technically, jax still has dodge. They never bothered to change it. If you actually look at it jax e still works by giving him 100% dodge for the duration. It just doesn't affect tower shots anymore

dont forget he can build gunblade AND deaths dance to heal for 30% of EVERY DAMAGE he does. so even if you survive, chances of killing him in a 1v1 are like 0. unless youre veigar stun him and q w r him

I'm using data of this patch, with the Death Dance buff live.

And Gunblade is still not a core item for Jax considering that he has 7.8% buyrate on it.

If only they made him not be able to AA during counter strike.

Not only it makes sense, because he's rotating his "weapon" over his head, that means he can't hit you with the same object he's spinning over his head.

Also would be a good nerf, since Jax players wouldn't have to face a rework to their favorite champion, and would give him counterplay as players would have to think before using counter strike. As Jax would not be dealing damage during counter strike and it would reset the bonus AS from his passive.

But that is expecting too much from Live Balance Team.

none of which is jax's fault, it's the NEW RUNES that basically threw every previously balanced idea out the window and said, "look at the pretty, glossy high numbers on the screen!"

another post said that a level 2 udyr beats a level 3 mundo in a duel and after looking at runes, I believe it when he benefits from almost every rune there is including the one that is a flat 70 - 120 armor and mr boost for 2.5 seconds? really? in addition to the damage boost it provides on that same rune

I don't play top much, but last time I laned against him with Renekton I got some kills on him. Later on to mid game he started bullying me out.

Yesterday I think I had a Jax on the other team. I just ignited him when he jumped in.. and ADC positioned well. He was a handful but we still won.

I never usually have a problem with jax tbh like i main top lane and jax as either a jungle or top laner is to easy for me to kill like for instance Nasus his E hurts him even when he blocks Teemo....You know where im going with that one Garen just use sheild before he stuns you then go all in cause jax is weak compared to him Karthus (top lane) dont get near him just farm and bully him out of lane and if he tries to go all in then mess him up

I have been maining Nasus for a while now and i barely have problems with any champion other than rumble

It's blatantly obvious when he's going to counterstrike. Would you rather have him Q you from half a screen away, then burst you down like Lee Sin? And if we're talking top lane, there are way more annoying champs than Jax.
