So, who are the rulers of the roles?

I am not a top level player by any means, but I am at the point where I need to really learn a role. I play morgana quite a bit, but she is a mid laner, a role that everyone and their mother wants to be. However, I don't really know who is best with what and fighting for mid won't win me many friends.. So, I've decided to ask the community what are the best for each role, and also, what are some more unorthadox types that somehow fit a role well (Like a caster tank for example)

On a side note, I have a strong preference for casters.

Morgana hasn't been a midlaner since about season 1... there's your first problem.

I'll give you 2 common picks for each lane that are in meta right now and aren't permaban/super complicated to play

Top: Irelia, Vlad Mid: Ahri, Annie Jungle: Warwick, Vi Support: Morgana, Nautilus ADC: Sivir, Jinx

Solo queue is a lot different than tournaments, which is why you see people fail so much with LCS picks

Morgana is a support. She can mid but it's easier to take advantage of her strong early game CC when you have an ADC with you.

I've always done better with morgana as a loner, once another player gets involved in the lane, I always have more trouble (partly because pushing becomes a bigger priority, and partly because the opposing team tries to push back more when paired, and partly because there isn't a lot of utility that helps keep people alive...) Nobody I've seen clears minions faster, and her passive allows her to hold up quite well.
