I would think so seeing as you can gift them to a friend starting today. Wouldn't make much sense if it wouldn't be the case, now would it?

Most likely yes.

You can gift them to a friend using IP later today, so it would make sense for them to be released today as well.

NOTE: Both unlockable Summoner Icons can only be earned between 8:00 am April 19 and 11:59 pm April 26 Pacific time. The icons will be granted within two weeks after the promotion ends.

If you learn to read the news, you would have an idea. Or if you pay attention to any other champion release. Is this your first day? Just stop asking these questions. You won't ever get a definitive answer. They will come sometime during the patch, just wait.

Usually anywhere between the day of patch, and the week of. Maybe even up to two months if something bad happens. Flipping the switch could even cause an apocalypse. So should something like that happen, it could be never. We will see once they go live.

You will NEVER get a date for reasons Riot has expressed numerous times. Deadlines are bullshit, and they CAN be missed. And when they are, people get pissed. That is why you won't have anything set in stone around here. Wait for the gate to open patiently, and distract your mind in the meantime.

Still though it makes sense. Riot rarely releases champions the moment the Patch is live. As the game patches 3am PST. You dont really expect them to release new content that early. As usual (new) champions/Skins get released around noon-ish as most of the higher ups would be working and can actually give the go to release said items!

Its a discussion. why are you so salty lol. this is a platform for other players to discuss news between each other and speculate and hey if a rioter comments then thats cool. look at the amount of people who have looked at this post alone just to find out any information they care to look at. no point getting mad about something you can just not participate in or ignore.

Anyway, the difference between this champ release cycle and other ones is that riot has confirmed that it will be today and there is an event being held along with that release cycle.
