Can someone explain to me why Kindred is so contested?

When I play them I feel like no matter how well I play with them at the beginning of the game, around mid game I start dying and become very irrelevant as the late game comes into play.

Can someone give me some advice for them/ tell me why they are allegedly so strong?

Early game power primarily. Kindred are currently a top tier duelist in the early levels, giving them great invades and ganks, which results in strong game dominance if you can translate that early power into mid game snowball.

We're actually going to be reducing that early power in the next patch, with a higher CD on Q when used within W at ranks 1-4 (4/3.5/3/2.5/2s instead of a flat 2s). If that leaves them in too weak a spot we'll probably then look to add power to her passive, reward early hunts more.
