Is it ok to leave your Marksman if they are being super toxic towards you?

Slushi Simcambi·12/12/2017, 2:12:26 AM·15 votes·1,614 views

My marksman (Kalista ) died early in lane when I was playing Blitzcrank and started to flame me cause apparently her getting nailed by Lulu and Varus .

She proceeded to flame me, called me useless (in not so nice words) even tho I had landed a hook and a couple knock ups in lane. She told me to stop being useless in her lane or gtfo... She went as far as to emote when the jungler was bot (allowing him to kill me) instead of autoing the guy and getting an easy kill.

So I left her and she didn't talk for the rest of the game but my teammates were kinda annoyed... what do you do in that situation. It feels like lose lose when she is refusing to cooperate but I am gonna drain EXP elsewhere.

You're not required to stay by your ADC past early game anyway. It's smart to get them ahead, but if it's a lost cause you're allowed to support someone else.

You're the team's support, not the ADC's bitch.

Full ap blitz, ks her, and don't say anything in chat so you don't get reported

Bud, you should have dipped as soon as she said "gtfo". Go help another lane. I main support, and if I ever get an extremely toxic ADC, or one that isn't willing to follow my lead (unless of course I'm having a bad game and making mistakes), I usually go support another lane, or if I'm Blitz / Thresh / Leo, I'll just gank top and mid over and over.

You end up a few levels behind, which can make things difficult, but in a lot of cases I find it better than sticking around with Tweedle Dumb in the bot lane. Actually, the game I just played, my Caitlyn wouldn't follow me into anything, after setting up two kills for her, so I dipped and helped mid lane, which suppressed the enemy Talon and they ended up surrendering lol

Last season when I was maining the support role in solo queue I encountered that type of thing amd when I just left and the adv would continue to flame me other people on the team would just say stuff like "maybe you shoulda been nicer to the support its not like their there to be your slave"

Athenes Lulu12/12/2017, 3:45:22 AM4 votes

Gonna play the Devil's Advocate, but....

You're only further snowballing the enemy team even more by leaving your adc to 1v2, and will be possibly putting your teammates even more behind should you roam outside botlane and steal their experience if you ever fail roam.

Instead, just wait it out and when teamfight phase rolls in, forget your ADC. This way, you're not putting your other teammates behind because of some support, you're not intentionally helping the enemy team snowball further, you can still do your job, and teach that little shitty ADC a lesson.

I've been maining support since season 3 and really, bad ADCs come by every day. I used to ditch "toxic ADCs" a lot, too, and roaming is usually very counter intuitive, especially if you don't know what you're really doing.

"Is it right to do something that would lose the game intentionally because I don't like a player?"

Removing words like ADC and support (due to bias from people), and applying the repercussions of those actions, the answer is of course not.

If it is obvious your adc is just out to flame and blame, then yes, leave the lane. Try to get your other lanes fed, don't say anything in chat. This actually happened just last game, where a Vayne went ham as soon as she dinged 2, but I was still 1 and she didn't see. So when I couldn't save her when she went balls deep she started ping spamming and flaming me after feeding double kill and ruining the lane. I muted her and roamed.

If you return to your adc, they are already super tilted and will go out of their way to make a play and die so they can flame you and go "SEE?? Blitz WAS trolling he let me die!!11" and then it gets your team even more pissed, and if the adc is really nasty, they will get the team to start flaming you.

Just mute a toxic adc, roam, and get the rest of your team fed. Peel the adc in teamfights, but if they're truly horrible and toxic, leave them alone and let them farm.

Terozu12/12/2017, 4:10:25 PM2 votes

Next time play Bard and go on a magical journey. Seriously though, his passive exp gain and gank presence are great and he's the best pick of your adc is trolling.

Miku Append12/12/2017, 4:43:10 PM2 votes

Go to that mid lane, get them fed. Then go to that top lane, help them with their lane, get them herald, and watch them win the game for you. :)

NekoniClaws12/12/2017, 11:38:52 AM2 votes

Yes.

You increase the chances of losing the game-- big deal, you have a 50% chance of losing anyway.

There are two levels of toxic, for me. The whiner (may call you an idiot, ask why you didn't do X, try give you advice after they messed up), you can mute and support them- and then let them die later- you came to win, not to pad their KDA.

And then there's the flamer who dug into the deepest vaults of verbal excrement to find what they were about to say to another human being. Just leave. You jungler won't gank for them, your mid won't roam for them, your top won't tp for them- so no-one blames you if you get away from them.

Taliyah Rocks12/12/2017, 2:55:36 AM2 votes

Depends, if they're salty, but are still playing properly, i'll still play as a team and support them. I don't have trouble working with someone even if i hold a grudge toward them.

If my adc is just plain bad, no matter if he's toxic or not, i'll go help other lanes, where i can actually have an impact. I'll roam mid or top, help jungler invade, etc. And occasionnaly go back to bot once i'm ged enough, or with other laners' help.

FoggyPaws12/12/2017, 6:55:21 PM1 votes

If you've done your best to try and help and the person is still toxic, go support top, I'm sure they'll appreciate the assistance. Get some quick kills, feed your top laner some delicious spondulis and steamroll the enemy, your top laner should have a level advantage over the enemy team by the time you rotate top, take advantage of it and leave that salt-roasted ham to deal with their deserved hardships.

Mute ADC chat, mute ADC pings, enjoy your game.

Scary Door12/12/2017, 8:29:40 PM1 votes

I usually just mute them, but I'll usually just coordinate with the jungler and we'll double team with mid to take the tower there.

I won't leave an adc just because they're doing poorly, but if they keep making the same mistakes or if they decide to be a douche then I'm absolutely out of there.

zlumpy12/12/2017, 9:46:29 PM1 votes

Go top lane and support them into being the carry.

Weasel Kensei12/13/2017, 5:48:56 AM1 votes

I get those ADCs sometimes.

Mute them, if theyre just flaming... ignore it and you will probably have a decent game. If they start acting out like griefing, typing a novel and missing CS, or abandoning the lane leaving you there alone... just roam as best you can. Cause if youre lucky they will calm down and farm and contribute. The other thing that could happen is they could shit the bed even harder than when you were there and you can make some great roaming plays and everyone will know who the problem was and report them maybe.

More often that when an ADC starts in on me I say "sure, blame the support." If the persist ask "should I mute you now?" If they go for strike three, dont say anything just mute them... they will run out of steam typing at you after a while with no response... Honestly, you dont have to mute them, just ignore them. They may say something useful... maybe. Just dont respond to them, and if its anything other than flaming or rage/salt take note, otherwise ignore.

If you feel like gambling, at the first sign of flaming ADC syndrome try saying "Oh I love rage novels in the chat, go for it man, type away." This will either make them NOT type cause they dont want to give you what you asked for, maybe even make them see the trap and not walk into it, or have them give you what you asked for and they start raging out of their minds.

Good luck, playing support can be very rewarding but part of the price to pay is having to endure some of the worst players in the game blaming you for everything they do. Try to stick it out if you can, but if you have to roam, it will be up to you to judge when to call it quits on bot lane and when to stay.

zaqat12/13/2017, 5:58:55 AM1 votes

Don't specify habibi, I main adc, and I can't count the times my supports left me because I wasted a kill, just one kill, although never was toxic towards them, leaving me solo the whole laning phase.

ChompyWulf12/12/2017, 3:32:06 AM1 votes

Sometimes you just need to know when to bail out if the duo isn't working out with the ADC and bounce around lanes.

My only criticism is the champ Blitzcrank. If you aren't playing with a friend and working together actively, it's way too easy for you to grab someone when the adc isn't looking or ready for it. Blitz also has a pretty limited and predictable kit. You can initiate plays, but have limited CC and no real synergy as he brings no heal, shield, protect, buff, or debuff to the lane. I'd say if you play him you may as well just be greedy to begin with to take kills and take over your lane rather than support the adc.

I leave my Marksman if they say I am useless, are doing poorly, or just can't focus on what they should focus.

If the other lanes whine, let them. It's not your fault a brain dead can't recognize brain dead. Your job at that point is to basically be a secondary jungle. Gank lanes your jungle refuses to.

Funkin Dunkin12/12/2017, 4:09:19 AM1 votes

If your ad is as useless as she is toxic, then don't even attempt a pull unless your jungler is coming. No reason to add to the enemy team score

LordGeovanni12/12/2017, 10:06:01 AM1 votes

good luck being accepted into any other lane though people will generally treat you like a pest because you came mid and gave your mid complete lane dominance and prevent the enemy mid from ever touching farm same with top.

Friendly Ram12/12/2017, 11:41:23 AM1 votes

Generally ask the other supp if they would rotate mid with me since my adc thinks they are god.

Battalion12/12/2017, 11:53:03 AM1 votes

You can't get reported for playing poor lane strategy, but being an asshole is reportable. So no, you're not in trouble, though I hope you reported that kalista.

Pommel Knight12/12/2017, 2:45:12 PM1 votes

Go mid, that's what I do.

Had a similar game where my Kalista kept going in melee to Leona and blamed me Thresh for her deaths.

I left and helped mid win.

We lost in the end because she was 1/16, but she was literary inting.

Malcha12/12/2017, 3:45:52 PM1 votes

Just roam and gank. Coordinate with you jg, to get an early tower so that her time in lane alone is minimized and you guys can group sooner.

Take the early game into your hands. Even if you fall behind in level, as blitz, you never really stop being able to serve your purpose, especially if your team is ahead. It's all about making picks, and you can do that even if you're behind in exp.

Dr Dog12/12/2017, 5:44:10 PM1 votes

as blitz definitely, help your mid and top get fed and let her feed, she wont be worth any gold and you being in lane obviously isnt stopping her from just straight being bad

PePsiLemoNN12/12/2017, 6:18:50 PM1 votes

Ofc. Just don't complain when they have 20 cs in min 15 and died 5 times 1v2 under tower.
