Veigar Stun Box Buff Idea

Make the box instantly appear like it used to, however, the stun duration on the box 'charges' over time.

I.e. if you touch the stunbox as soon as it pops up, you're only stunned for .5 seconds. If you touch it when it's about to disappear, it stuns you for the full duration.

Idk, it would encourage people to place the box AROUND an enemy, instead of directly on top of them, thus allowing for 'counter-play'. I think.

If that's the direction they want to go, I'd say this is the best option.

I would increase the stun time to start at maybe .6 or .75 seconds. a .5 second stun is TINY (Riven's stun) and will hardly help with Veigar's problem. 0.75 seconds would still allow plenty of time for W to be dodged (thus not making it an automatic "instant" EWRQ combo).

Also, make the stun duration rapidly increase to the full duration, not gradually (rapidly as in Sion's ult damage ramp up, or Sivir/Draven's MS ramp-down, and gradually as in Rammus' Q MS ramp up).

Or just make it a slow if you pass the threshold before the walls pop up.

It would perhaps give him some more 1v1 versatility if he could hit at least a momentary stun by landing the edge. However, I'm not really a fan of the edge-stunning mechanic, which seems to be changing what's meant to be a cage into a weird ring-shaped skillshot. But, sure, it would be better than the current situation.

As for the "charge" mechanic, I think this would run into the same problem as the current Event Horizon: there's no reason for someone to get stunned.

I suppose it's nice that it might make people panic a bit, e.g. "go ahead, run into the wall, and you're stunned for 1s instead of waiting 3s for the walls to collapse, but he might burst you, but ... oh, you're hesitating, okay, now it's a 1.5s stun if you want to leave...sorry, too slow, it'll now be 2s, maybe you want to wait it out?" That adds some kind of depth.
