Proposed change to earning chests
So I have found the whole system of hextech crafting, earning chests and disenchanting for essences to be quite convoluted (at best) since its integration into the game, but the one aspect that always bothered me was that I could only earn ONE chest per champion. Now as a student of sales and finance, I get the approach. You don't want to just hand out new champions and skins for free, when a profit can be made. Exclusivity sells, and I get that. But looking at it from a logical standpoint, most players have one lane they excel at with a limited champion pool in which they have "go-to" laners that they are probably efficient enough with to earn an S and hence, a chest. But what happens when they earn chests with all of their go-to champs? Are they just supposed to pick up a new champ in a new role and learn them and play them until they are capable of earning a chest with said champ? This creates a conundrum in which most players would just say "screw it, I'm not playing yorick until I earn a chest." So what I propose is this: instead of only being able to earn ONE chest per champ, add some kind of cd timer to where you can only earn one chest on each champ once every week, two weeks, or however attainable you wish them to be. It still incentivizes longitudinal play, and honestly it's only your dedicated players who would frequently earn chests anyways. So instead of learning all of the support champs and painfully attemping to jungle, can I just have cd timers on earning chests with my mains?
