@Riot Possible Yasuo changes that won't break him

Okay, I'm just going to start this off by saying this. Yes, I am a Yasuo main. I have been seeing lots of people whine about Yasuo on the boards for years now, and the some degree they may be right. I don't think Yasuo is broken right now, but if Riot is going to give in to the demands of the many, then please hear out the voice of the few (like me). I am perfectly fine with Yasuo's kit evolving and requiring more masterful gameplay, I have already put so much time into mastering his kit that I wouldn't mind relearning some nuances to him; it would be an all-new adventure with my main. What I am NOT okay with, however, is Riot gutting Yasuo and stacking cool downs on him and making him an emergy/mana user just to shit on him and make the public happy because they won't "have to see any more yasuos ever again lel." So here are the ideas I have been sitting on a while that may hopefully appeal to both Yasuo mains and lovers of the champ, as well as those who think he is way too overloaded/op/hard to lane against.

  1. Get rid of windwall.

Hear me out, don't go away yet. My idea is, instead of having a huge barrier that just nulls ults, projectiles, and any/all ranged projectiles, make W an active spell that instantly refreshes flow and grants Yasuo his shield around his person. This way, the timing of the use of the spell must be much more skillful than a frantic windwall that cancels 360° around you if timed right. One could say that the use of this spell could be used proactively while calculating that big ult into a team fight, or reactively if you dive a little too far in and find yourself in harm's way. Keep the high CD on this, that way it is not abuseable. Make the CD something like 30/28/26/23/20.

  1. Get rid of the instant 100% crit off of two items, and instead increase the damage scaling of yasuos attacks with crit. Incentivize the purchase of items with crit, and make it a choice worth making in lieu of health and lifesteal items. For example, if Yasuos critical strikes dealt 20% increased damage based off total ad, and the ratio of increased damage raised with amount of % crit chance, then it would promote the purchase of more crit and would move Yasuo players away from the purchase of items such as frozen mallet, because there would be no gain besides some health and a slow.

  2. Get rid of the cool down on minions who have been dashed through. If Yasuo dashes through a minion or champion, then they are marked until they are dead or Yasuo has died. This would promote much more consideration into dashes, and Yasuo mains would think twice about zig zagging through an entire minion wave before diving an enemy lane under their tower, only to realize they have no escape and gave away a free kill (most likely.) This would retain his high mobility, but it would also limit it to where escape is possible, and you can capitalize on a bad Yasuo's mistakes.

These are just some ideas, please take a look at these before you totally gut my main Rito. Kthx.

How I personally would change Yasuo:

  • Remove the double crit and the crit debuff outright. It's unnecessary and makes zero sense.
  • Remove the passive shield.
  • Remove Windwall and replace it with an active spellshield. When the spellshield blocks an ability, it procs basically his current shield that lasts for 4-5 seconds instead of the current 1 second.
  • Make his Q a single-target auto-attack steroid with a reset, rather than an extra free auto attack that deals bonus damage and is AoE. Give his critical strikes with the empowered auto a bleed effect. This lets him deal tons of damage, but he can't assassinate people instantly. His damage is more spread out.
  • Change his current ultimate from requiring a knocked-up target to where it's a point and click CC. Melee ranged. Instantly knocks people up and deals its damage like a much shorter ranged Vi ulti, but without the unstoppable part. Other than that, his Ulti can remain totally unchanged as far as the armor shred for crits and damage goes.
  • His dash doesn't really need to be changed. It's not bad as is.
  • Give this champ mana. This limits his impact in any one fight, but still allows him to be a very powerful duelist or assassin, but not someone with the resources early to just spam abilities and go ham on the enemy team.

  1. windwall doesn't need changes
  2. dash needs an increased cd in early game
  3. crit passive doesn't need changes
  4. his ulti on alliy knock ups needs to be removed
