Proposed Changes to Omnistone

Omnistone is just a really weird rune, thats currently underpowered because of how useless it is in practice.

Omnistone:

Random > Instead, you get to choose any keystone you want. (Max 2)

Keystone power and effectiveness 100% >>>>> to 35%.

Cooldown (to change keystone): 40 seconds >>>> 2 minutes.

Max keystones : All >>> just 2 keystones.

Instant proc when keystone is changed >>>> remaining CD of previous cooldown. (To avoid abusing 2 keystone procs in rapid succession.

It provides variety in gameplay, because you can actively choose which keystone you want.

It gives you general power instead of playing around 1 keystone or gimmick. The damage or utiliy on the keystones are significantly reduced.

Examples: lets say Anivia takes this rune and has comet or electrocute. Whatever. She sees a fight going on in bot lane and decides she needs to get there in time. She switches to predator and gets there just in time and saves the day.

The downside to Anivia taking omnistone is that her keystone has less of an impact in lane. But she can make it up with a 2nd keystone for a more flexible roam.

Or, lets say a late game scaler like Kogmaw wants some early sustain, but wants a little more power late game. He chooses Fleet Footwork and Press the attack.

Flexibility is a very strong attribute to have, hence why I propose a limit to 2 keystones, and their power reduced to 35%.

Balance :

Omnistone is in the inspiration tree, in which most champions dont use as their main teee.

Lets say an adc takes this tree primary and secondary take Precision. Well, they can only take 2 sub-runes in the Precision instead of 4 . They shouldnt be able to abuse this rune.

Or lets say an assassin like Zed takes Omnistone.

Well, he can again, only choose 2 subrunes in domination.

It can apply to any champion really, who usually does not take inspiration primary tree.

Let me know what you guys think.

The idea behind the keystone is that even though they're random, it's still more value than you'd get from any other keystone if you can use them properly. You can chain together multiple keystone procs in the time it takes your lane opponent to use their once.

What they need to do for Omnistone is remove Aery, PtA, Lethal Tempo, and Fleet Footwork from the pool. These runes are balanced around having short cooldowns, so Omnistone actually loses value when you pull these runes. Plus, it's really difficult for most champions to take advantage of PtA and Lethal Tempo. Restricting Omnistone to high-value options would ensure you always get something potent.
