How to Climb : Make Less Mistakes

In my opinion, reducing your C game is better than improving your A game.

For example, your C game is making a shit ton of mistakes which could be :

Chasing into FOW without knowing where enemy team is.

Taking bad trades in lane. Taking risky CS and dying.

Helping your jungler when you lose in a 2v2, or are low on mana, or have a huge wave under turret.

Your A game is when you’re CSing perfectly and are fed as hell. Or even having huge map pressure and teamfight presence.

None of your A game matters if you are still making the same mistakes in the C game. You’ll be trading kill for kill, which in turn reduces your map pressure, which in turn make it so that you have less chance to win the game.

Playing both your A and C game at the same time will hinder or even bring your climb to a halt, where you feel like you have plateud.

For me, I climbed from Gold 2 to Plat 3 in 2 weeks, after being hardstuck Gold 2 for 4 months. I simply reduced the amount of my deaths from chasing kills, as well as giving up CS in lane if I had to. Playing safe but smart means Im lowering my C which in turn gives more room for My A game to shine.

If you do this, you will lose lane less often, but on the other hand, when you win lane, you will not throw your lead away.

I would also advise to avoid playing A games and spam C games. Over chase, Commit too hard on fights, take those risky CS.

Once you've gotten an idea of where your limits are it's time to back peddle. It's time to go for those A games now. Now that you know the speed limit you have the ability to go as fast as you can without going over. If you haven't ever found out your limit you'll just be playing safe never knowing if a play was possible.

i get what you are saying but honestly its more than just fixing mistakes its also understanding why you do something.

like a major little tip for any one is if you stand beside your minion wave instead of behind it it makes it so you force enemies to choose how to use their spells as in do i use resources to farm or do i go in for harass.

  • learn your power spikes and use it to your advantage early to take control of lane
  • learn how and why you want to be aggressive (if the jungler is going to invade make sure you back them up by shoving out your lane) (if you have no vision of the jungler play assuming he might be nearby)
  • better warding -spam specific champs--- this has to do with just learning the ins and outs of a specific champ while also getting the experience of laning into various match ups when taking up other champs try to keep your pool all in a similar play style so you dont have to make massive adjustments like playing lulu mid one game then out of o where going to talon. Itemization- every game is different every game may need a slightly different build and gold income can vary learn how to use what gold you get as efficient as possible

There are lots of people that play too aggressive and are stuck because of it, and there are lots of people that are too passive/safe, and are stuck because of it. This is because they play based on habit/experience, with out knowing what is truly correct in many situations.
