Riot, you need to look into adding unit collision with Fizz's Q
Fizz's Q never had unit collision because it would automatically hit if the animation/dash finished. Now the changes to fizz's Q to make it more in line with "it shouldn't hit if it doesn't hit the target" are ok. However, now that you've made the change where enemies can't be hit if they are outside the range of Fizz's Q, you've made very frustrating scenarios that are obvious to any fizz player. Scenarios where a champion dashes THROUGH FIZZ while he's Q'ing to them and the ability does ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE despite going through their body simply because the dash he uses is beyond fizz's original starting point. Champions with longer dashes then fizz are dashing through his body to avoid damage. I've had Leblancs, Ahri's, and numerous other champions DASH through my body (which was a 100% HIT) take no damage. I've dashed through an ahri, fully went through her body, got hit by her damage after the fact, which killed me before the animation completed and it did NO DAMAGE (my dash would've killed her, she was no hp). This is beyond ridiculous. If a champion collides with Fizz when he is Q'ing to that champion, they need to take the damage, regardless if it's leblanc or ahri dashing through fizz or a vi ramming into fizz. HE IS LEADING WITH HIS TRIDENT and you made the change specifically to clean up the fact that fizz shouldn't hit targets he doesn't hit. I've never been so frustrated with an ability in my life and the inconsistency of the changes you made. If it hits the target, it should do what the spell is intended to do. Please add collision tables where when Fizz's hit box hits his enemies, they take damage.
