inconsistancy with rengars ultimate and actives

If you're playing Rengar Rengar and you activate item 3142 while stealthed it won't break your stealth, however if you activate item 3800 it will, why is this?

i actually looked into it and the same thing happens with randuins item 3143 so i think just AOE actives break stealths (same thing with twitch Twitch
