I used to main gnar, and I actually was really good with him! I still try him out sometimes, but lately he just feels... weaker? I don't know tbh. I've seen some other gnar mains who agree with me on this. Is gnar not as good as he used to be or are we just getting bad at the game?

He definitely needs a small buff.
He's got a lower win rate than Ryze, who has been nerfed about as far as possible and is yet still seeing pro play because of his ridiculous skill ceiling. Gnar has no such ceiling - there's no making up for his low win rate with experience. You only win with Gnar if it's an ideal matchup or if you're just that much better than your opponent - not because you're good enough on Gnar to make him strong. There are plenty of other ranged tops (Jayce, Quinn, and Karma come to mind) that are just superior to Gnar in almost every way right now.

Jayce is a ranged top lane bully who falls off the face of the Earth late game and gets very squishy as the game gets on. He transitions into a shitty artillery mage/skirmisher hybrid. He's basically like if you cut Yasuo and Xerath in half then tried to sew them together late game. He's versatile, but ultimately ineffective at the two roles late game. His laning phase is just incredibly cancer.
Gnar is a ranged top lane bully who gets to scale into a fucking super tank with more CC than most tanks who don't get to be ranged bullies.
Jayce is incredibly obnoxious and OP right now, but I'd rather Jayce be top tier for another year than have to deal with Gnar being meta for three months.
