Is Tahm Kench even good anymore? (Outside pro play)

I can see how he has the best team utility in terms of transporting priority teammates, catching off-guard a single enemy or saving one mainly from his W. But according to Op.gg, he only garnered a pathetic 0.85% playrate followed by 46.79% winrate. My best guess would be that the Ardent Censor meta seriously cut him off, while I don't know if this improved after the removal of Ardent's on-hit healing.

Is there any balance changes incoming for Tahm Kench? Something like allowing him to at least being able to use W on red/blue buff for better leashing/jungle clear, cz I don't even know why this restriction exist. Either that, or revert back some of his E nerfs in the past.

They nerfed his E durability while buffing his passive auto attack damage. The problem is Tahm is difficult to play offensively due to him being very immobile and the fact that all of his ranged attacks can be body blocked.

Yeah, you got to think of him more as a warden.

I find it particularly satisfying when I completely nullify the enemy CC against my ADC, just by gobbling him up.

He is good, but others out class him. A good Tahm will wreck but there are others that do it better. Like for JG there are WAYY too many other champions that are better. For Tanks we have Rammus right there. For utility we have Trundle/sejuani. For damage we have everyone. He is good for catching out single champions with his ult, but with so many team comps playing Baby sit the ADC you will hardly ever see an ADC by itself. I have been baited a few times of seeing an ADC top lane by themselves. Imagine my surprise when the other 4 were just sitting in the bush next to them.
