Well, I started playing Kallista and one thing that annoyed me was that most supports wouldn't actually shoot at champions, a major factor in Kallista's damage. Of course, if said person lacked the range, then it is a bit dangerous... So now I made this thread to figure out what champs work well with her and which don't!
EDIT: Also, I want to know what ADCs have the longest ranges as this is pretty useful too...

Get mana regen and go in to AA with Shield on me (or adc depending on situation) to prevent being poked down back off, I usually end up with an extra 60+ gold by the end of laning from spell thief, which helps a lot early on for upgrading my income item that is usually the talisman because I'm usually vs engage tanks so I need the extra mobility from its lvl 2 form

It depends on the lane, I will not go near a Leona draven lane with poking because one slight misplay can easily result in my death, vs those lanes it's better to sit back and survive while waiting on the jungler to come down
It's a risk reward equation
A thresh or blitz I can use minions as a shield, that doesn't work vs Leona

Then I can understand why your Janna was passive / defensive, because one E from Leona likely means death , now if she recently missed her E I would poke a bit, knowing its on CD, but generally speaking Leona and driven can kill a ganna VERY fast even at lvl 2 (still take a good chunk at lvl 1)
There are lanes to be aggressive and lanes to be defensive, that lane is a defensive and reactive lane, have the enemy try to engage, break the engage with a quick Q to stop Lorena's dash from her E and then punish them, the problem is you misplay the Q interrupting the dash once and you are likely dead for that misplay

Janna is great at disengage, and smaller trades, but when they deal good burst, have CC, and an easier time pulling it off because they are the actor and I am the reactor, it's better to try and just play it safe and help my adc farm by doing what I can to just defend

Also Lulu, Lux, Soraka, Sona, Nami, Zilean, Brand, Cassiopeia have quite high ranges (550)
If you wanna play Ashe or Anivia support, they have 600 range on their aa.

The main problem there is that you lose a lot of your CC power if you don't max E first for the reduced CD.
