Riot why are you nerfing Boots of Switfness AGAIN?

This is absolutely mad. saw absolutely no usage for the majority of this game's life, then you buffed them a few months ago. Everyone used them because of how good they were, combined with their cost. They needed a nerf and they got one.

Now you're nerfing them again. To the point where you only get +10 extra movement speed over T2 boots like . So again, they're completely outclassed by everything else and won't be bought.

You might as well remove them from the game if this is the direction you really want to go.

I remember when I used those boots regularly about a year ago, everyone said I was a n00b.

They nerfed them because ranged champs were complaining about melee champs being fast enough to close the gap on them in lane. Oh how Riot loves their ADC's

It's not that boots of swiftness are too strong, it's that the other boots are garbage. Riot needs to further define the boot niche and accurately reflect the cost. Also, if anti-cc boots are often the go to this should be a hint to developers...

Before people realized how good item 3009 actually were, I was always using them instead of item 3117 when I needed more speed or if the enemy team happened to have a plethora of slows.

I was told Mobi's were better by multiple people, yet I knew Swifties were in fact more practical in every way. I knew the passive was strong and I knew movement speed has a soft cap, always working against Mobi's passive. Also, why would I want to make myself slower when I need speed the most ("in combat")?

Some time later, Swifties are suddenly seen as god-tier and the people found themselves wrong for dismissing me. Who would have thought? Next thing you know, my theory of Sunfire Cape on Aurelion Sol becoming core will come to fruition.
