Patch 6.24 - Winter Rift Is Coming

RANKED SEASON 2017 The Ranked 2017 Season begins this patch. Here's how you can rank up this year so you don't make more posts about it.

• Solo/Duo Queue is for solo players and those people who call ADC/Support.
• Flex Queue is for people who just want to play League of Legends.
• You can play in one queue, both, or neither. However, there are 'bonus rewards' for those who play in both.
• Flex Queue is also available in Twisted Treeline for the 60 people who play it.
• Ranked ARAM isn't here. :(

CHAMPIONS

• Beyblade Girl Camille will be turned on this patch.
• Akali now punches turrets harder.
• Azir has called for conscription into the Shuriman Military, meaning soldiers are summoned more often.
• Fiddlesticks is now slightly less scary and birds come to him more often.
• Alongside some clarity changes, Fizz's baby fish is now needlessly murdered if you Spell Shield it. Think of the baby fish.
• Garen does something useful now, rather than shout DEMACIA!!! all day.
• Ivern is suffering from the seasonal changes, and Triggerseed took the brunt of it.
• Katarina does more damage earlier on. I'm... actually surprised that I'm saying that. Normally a note about Katarina pushes her damage down. Gonna quickly check that's right. Bear with me a moment.
• Kog'Maw found out he is a living machine gun, not a mage.
• After learning new tricks, LeBlanc took some time to learn old ones such as making your life bar disappear.
• Master Yi Bugfixes - for when you were in Alpha.
• 5 AD. Cat's got claws.
• Rengar now melts the face of your ADC a bit slower.
• Shaco's Backstab now works like you'd expect it to. Which is what Riot said in the official notes.
• As it turned out, there are literally no dragons anywhere else in League of Legends other than Summoner's Rift. Thankfully, Shyvana figured out a way to make here passive work when she isn't there.
• Twitch's Deadly Venom is now 16% less deadly.
• Varus now has a stronger passive when he doesn't want to play the 'build Tear, get armour pen and play the late game' game.
• Vayne now stumbles when she tumbles, reducing its damage.
• Yep, they boosted Kat's early damage. Thanks for bearing with me on that one.

ITEMS

• Rylai's Crystal Sceptre has gone from the Everymage item to the Everysupport item.
• Haunting Guise is cheaper.

SUMMONER'S RIFT

• Winter is coming.
• Plants now work like wards when you attack them, except in a few weird cases for a handful of champions.
• Red and Blue buffs have been simplified and weakened a little.
• No, seriously, have you checked the forecast? Snow, everywhere, over the next few weeks!
• Brambleback has started listening to heavy metal. Its Special Defense sharply fell!
• Krugs start off 50% more stupid.

MASTERIES

• Courage of the Cowlossus is weaker and has a longer cooldown early.
• Fervor of Battle is now more Fervor-y.

SPECTATOR You can now finally see what Elemental Drakes each team has.

CLIENT UPDATE

• You can now play your favourite Rotating Game Modes (except URF) in the new Client.
• You can once again stalk spectate your friends.
• You can now change your keybindings in the client. Messing with your friends has never been easier!
• Added in Potato Mode.

BUGFIXES

• Voidlings now take damage properly.
• Kled's still angry, but now realises he can proc on-hit effects when he kills something violently.
• Fixed a bug where we fixed a bug where Xerath couldn't hurt Baron with his ulti if he was too far away.
• Lux was deceiving you again - her Elementalist skin received some changes to help colourblind people.
• Snow Day Bard now trumpets at the right time in his dance.

SKINS Karma, Graves and Braum all checked the forecast for the weeks ahead and wrapped up accordingly. Except for Braum, who thought it was a good idea to not take an undershirt.
