TDLR: CURRENT HEALTH DAMAGE!

Problem, as I see it: Honestly this meta has proven that the lack of tanks is more toxic for the game than people want to admit. After all without tanks being strong, adcs that aren't op aren't needed and therefore things like mage and bruiser bot lanes became a thing. The lack of tanks also killed the idea of playing slow in fights and now most fights are actually just fiestas where everyone is scrambling about chucking damage at the closest thing in sight, the macro part of teamfights has taken a back seat in a lot of the comps that are now played, not all, but a lot.

My suggestion: My suggestion to change this is to buff tanks, however I'm thinking of a different direction than the one riot seems to be heading with the latest PBE patch. Rather we change the type of damage tanks do, then buff accordingly.

Specifics: This may honestly not work because of the mindset of players; but how about we use current health damage more among tanks? An example of this would be Ornn on release, it felt weird to players because it was never really used but honestly current health damage is the perfect thing for tanks. This type of damage allows them to still do damage on their engages and be enough of a threat to assassins and diving bruisers while not allowing them to just run around killing everything by themselves when ahead.

Benefits: To players - Lets just think, how often in your games has the tank just run ahead trying to kill everyone and not actually perform as a tank? That sort of behaviour usually punishes the team when its not super tank meta, however a lot of times the tank doesn't feel the effects. Now with a tank diving in and dealing decreasing amounts of damage that should really get the idea in their heads of the job of a tank. Yes, zoning is always a valid tactic but then players who actually aim to zone aren't over-chasing to try to kill the people they zone. This also gives tanks micro options in terms of how they use abilities and this may improve the enjoyment of the class itself. This is done by the fact that not all abilities tanks have will do said current health damage. In fact I believe the very abilities which do base damage or damage that scales on other stats should be the ones with the utility on them. That way if a tank really needs to kill a specific target and is in the proper position to do so, there is the choice of saving the utility/normal damage abilities as an execute of sorts.

Well that's just my two cents, what you guys think?

but tanks should need to build damage. they need to build tank. maybe instead of having AP or AD ratios for their abilities, have it where building HP ,Armor, and MR scales their abilities. what exact ratios ? idk

Ornn needs his maximum health damage. He ended up dealing no damage at all with his current health damage.

Due to how weak and gutted Ornn is, he still needs his damage nerfs reverted and his Unstoppable back.
