Pyke is a mechanically braindead champion

A champion should be one that actually has to try to win and become snowbally. Pyke can literally do so poorly laning phase. But when ever there is a time where a enemy gets below 40%, hes back in the game. Who cares if he has no items or gold - he has an execute, so he doesn't have to do damage, then he gets kills, then he's back in the game. I'm a firm believer in comebacks, but pyke is not one of them. He's artificially gets comebacks. Not to mention that everyone else gets gold, and it's a spammable. Sorry, but this champ is braindead if all he can do is press R and win.

Can't the same be said about most championships?

A champion whose damage can negated by side stepping... yeah... better nerf him..

He telegraphs his hook and dash though (Q and E?). The trick to Pyke is the same as counter playing a Zed or LB. Know where they'll be before they decide to go there. They can't afford to be caught off guard. Most of them will make predictable plays if you set them up. Think of it like a lux Q. Lux is much more likely to miss if you intentionally walk into the open to give her a free one. You will have a plan of escape ready to go on a moment's notice. Bait out Pyke's plays and catch him a step behind you. Most champs that you will feel are "unfair" are usually counterplayed in that fashion. Except Solid Snake. If you see him just go afk.

I chose Pyke.

I pressed R.

I didn't win.

I got flamed.

I got reported.

You're wrong.

I was braindead, yet I didn't win.

Durr.

On a more serious note, there are much more champions that are more braindead than Pyke. The ulti is dodgeable, and if he misses, then he's shark food. Pyke isn't supposed to play fairly. It's the same thing with Darius ults. He kills one, he resets, and there's no avoiding it. So the best way is to just play around it: have heals on standby. Dodge his skills. Silence and CC him, cuz that actually neuters him a lot. Take advantage that there isn't any enchanters or tank supports on the other team.

But the koreans have been abusing him in mid and support! There's no way he is overpowered.

"BUT HIS WINRATES!!!!"

-NA Pyke: Dashes into enemy tower and feeds.

WINRATES mean everythinggggg. Just like how EA balanced Starcraft 2, with 2 co op ai attacking each other lmao

I don't really think he has any business having such a strong slow on his pull and his healing is a bit silly but if I recall that's getting hit next patch so I'm content.
